- Awakened Inferno consists of 4 different musicians of different genres diversing from Jazz to Metal. As a 2 piece with no name, Taz and Jacob did occasional jam sessions from 2006 and started getting serious at the end of 2007. During the start of 2008, Taz and Jacob decided that they wanted a full band together, so on a practice sometime in March 2008, Damien and Young chan came along, striving to get a good setlist for Jacobs birthday gig on May 31st 2008. Then shortly played their 2nd gig on Friday June 13th 08
After that gig, Awakened Inferno couldn't get a band practice due to schedule conflicts and personal problems. But that was sorted about 3 months later and Awakened Inferno worked on getting a solid set of originals down for their future gigs, and made that the first 2 gigs were just "practice ones".
Awakened Inferno Debuted into the metal scene of Christchurch on Saturday 28th February 2009 successfully with guests Satanic Tea Towel and The Chaos Theory

Update and Debut Single!!
Hello all!
Since our victory at chartfest, things have been pretty dead for us actually.. so sad.... But now we're getting back on track cause on August 15th we are recording our Debut Single and B-Side at The Sitting Room!!!
Songs we are recording will be:
TIME TO BLITZ
and
KILLING IMMORTALITY
Shortly after that we will be recording our Debut Video for Time To Blitz!! I can tell you that it will be a much bigger improvement from our demos we recorded at school at the end of last year.
We are entering in the Rapid Storm band competition, which will be playing at on August 15th after we record that day. We hope on getting pretty damn far in that so come on down and support local metal!!
