"Stories from the Heart"

My name is Kim Watters and I write romance books. I started reading them when I was twelve years old and fell in love with the happily ever after endings. Now I create them myself. I first published with Avalon Books in 2003 and am currently working on a heartfelt story for Harlequin. I also write for The Wild Rose Press. Check out these available titles from that publisher: Dog Days of Summer, Web of Deceit, Discovering Jenna and When Johnny Comes Home. I currently have a partial over at Harlequin, a short story at a magazine, and another story for The Wild Rose Press. I belong to Novelists Inc., Romance Writers of America, PASIC, Valley of the Sun Romance Writers, and Desert Rose Romance Writers. I love hearing from my readers. Visit my website at www.kimwatters.com. You can also sign up for my newsletter there, too. Check out my group blog over at www.muchcheaperthantherapy.blogspot.com while you're at it.

September Newsletter
Hi Everyone!

Thanks to all of you who signed up to receive my newsletter this month. It’s much appreciated. Wow. Hard to believe Labor Day is almost here. I don’t know about you, but I’ll be playing at the pool with my kids and laboring with my critique group.

For most of you, Labor Day brings thoughts of sweaters and football and cups of hot chocolate. For us here in Phoenix it means….about 30 more days of 100+ temperatures. Still, we’ve turned the corner and the mornings are almost pleasant at 6:00 am. My dog is happy we’ve resumed our early morning walks. Too bad the neighborhood cats, rabbits and birds aren’t exactly jumping for joy at the slobbering, barking, tugging (you just know the leash is going to break one of these days) dog after their furry or feathery hides.

Big news. The Wild Rose Press has offered me a contract for Scales of Love, another short story for the Sweetheart Line. I’m currently working on the revisions as I write this. I’ll let you know when I have a release date. For those of you who can’t wait and haven’t read my other stories, you can always check them out at www.thewildrosepress.com.

The revisions for Wallflower, my free read over at Wild Rose Press, are done but I don’t have a release date yet. I’m guessing it will be sometime this fall. I’ll be sure to keep you updated. Until then, make sure you check out some of the other authors who have contributed to this wonderful program. www.thewildrosepress.com.

Make sure to stop by my group blog this month Much Cheaper Than Therapy. For readers, I’ve interviewed some talented authors and some of them are giving away free reads. For authors, Bob Mecoy of the Mecoy Agency is stopping by on September 9th, and Theresa Meyers will be talking about publicity on September 23rd. I’ll also be posting some information on some wonderful on-line classes.

On September 5, we have Jennifer Ashley with her book THE IMMORTALS: THE REDEEMING

On September 12, we have Jade Lee with her book THE DRAGON EARL

On September 19, we have Delilah Marvelle with her book MISTRESS OF PLEASURE

On September 26, we have Rowena Cherry with her book KNIGHT’S FORK

Have a happy Labor Day. Until next time….Kim Watters

August Newsletter
Hi Everyone!

Woohoo. School is just around the corner here in Arizona. Seems someone in their infinite wisdom decided starting school in August was better than finishing the year in June because of the heat. Hello? We’re talking Phoenix here. It’s HOT in both months. But the after Labor Day start is just a memory, along with sweaters and hot chocolate at the high school football games. Be that as it may, I’ll be dancing in the hallways next week while the teachers all have that deer-in-the-headlights look. Hubby included.

Big news. The Wild Rose Press has offered me a contract for one of their free reads. I’ll let you know when I have a release date for Wallflower over at www.thewildrosepress.com. Until then, make sure you check out some of the other authors who have contributed to this wonderful program.

The Wild Rose Press has also requested another short story for the Sweetheart Line tentatively called Scales of Love. I’ll keep you posted on that one, too.
Make sure to stop by my group blog this month. For readers, I’ve interviewed some talented authors and some of them are giving away free reads. For authors, Eden Robins is stopping by on August 19 and I’ll be posting some information on some wonderful on-line classes.

On August 8, we have Natale Stenzel with her book THE DRUID MADE ME DO IT

On August 15, we have Emily Bryan with her book PLEASURING THE PIRATE

On August 22nd, we have Kathryne Kennedy with her book DOUBLE ENCHANTMENT

On August 29nd, we have Brenda Joyce with her book DARK EMBRACE

July Newsletter
The summer heat is here in Phoenix and it’s time to break out those eggs. Fried or scrambled? Poached? Now you’re pushing it. The kids are home and going stir crazy. Is it possible to watch too much SpongeBob? I can’t wait until August when school’s back in session. I’ll be the one dancing in the hallways while the teachers all have that deer-in-the-headlights look.

The Wild Rose Press is still offering free reads at www.thewildrosepress.com. These short stories are between 750 - 2500 words and are listed on the main book store page under FREE READS. So enjoy your summer even more by grabbing some stories and discovering some new authors.

Make sure to stop by my group blog this month. For readers, I’ve interviewed some talented authors and some of them are giving away free reads. For authors, Jessica Faust from Bookends Literary Agency is stopping by to do an interview on July 8th. Tamra Westberry will be stopping by later in the month to share her Confessions of a Cover Artist article.

On July 2nd, we have Carly Phillips with her book HOT PROPERTY.

On July 11th, we’ll have Brenda Novak talking about her books TRUST ME & STOP ME.

On July 18th, we’ll have Pamela Tracy and her RITA finalist book PURSUIT OF JUSTICE.

On July 25th we'll have Angie Fox and her book THE ACCIDENTAL DEMON SLAYER.

Have a safe and happy July 4th. Until next time….

Weirdest Cookie Recipe Ever
My grandmother's secret recipe for Potato Chip Cookies:

1 LB Oleo Margarine
1 Cup Sugar
3 1/2 Cups Flour
1 Cup Crushed Potato Chips (stale will work just as well)
2 tsp Vanilla
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 15 minutes.
Enjoy!
