There is always loads to see and do in Auckland and this weekend is no exception.
Friday night check out one of the world’s best electronic acts, Booka Shade (Germany) when they play at Studio with their full lighting and visual show! Other gigs on are Peter Urlich & Bevan Keys @ The Grange; Tiger Translate with Onra (Japan) @ Fu; and Housebreakers @ A’isha to name but a few.
The huge annual Grey Lynn Park Festival will be held on Saturday from 9.30am to 5.30pm – get in early as there will be thousands of people descending on Grey Lynn to check it out. Saturday night take your pick from the big dance party Deep Hard n Funky feat Bodyrockers’ Kaz James & Stu Stone and Vandalism, or head along to Coherent for Back to Love: 20 Years of House Music. Next door @ Ink will be Just for Friends. Kinky Movement from the UK will be hitting up A’isha, and The Hot Grits are playing at Khuja.
On Sunday if cars are your thing, head down to Pukekohe Park Raceway for the Stil Vodka NZ Drift Series Grand Final… always a closely fought encounter, NZ’s top drifters will be duking it out at nearly 200kph on full opposite lock on the super fast drift circuit. Gates open 9am.
