I'm John Porter, author of the world-famous StarStrikers novels. What's that you say? StarStrikers hasn't even made it into print yet? Damn. Well, bear that in mind for future reference, anyway.

So as is befitting of a person in the position I'd like to be in, I write. After undertaking a major reworking of my first manuscript in 2006 and having my agent unsuccessfully attempt to hook me up with a publisher in 2007, this year I'll be self-publishing the StarStrikers novels. I'm also a fairly decent artist in my not-so-humble opinion, and in 2005 my doodles were put into print for the first time.

My day job is in IT, though I look at it as a sideline while I work on my writing, which I consider my true career. I also recently completed the first year of an Open University course in German. Did I mention I idolise Asuka Langley Sohryu and model myself after her? No? What's that, you say? You don't know who that is? Feh. If you don't know, you don't need to know.
