So,

Live in it to win it,

This was a huge promotional competition run by Radio Tay, Norman Fairweather
motors and Wellgate shopping centre and went out on national news and newspapers.
The Idea was that listeners of the radio station were invited to win a car to the tune of £10,000 simply by living in it for a period of 7 days, in a shopping centre, to win it!.
Contestants were all evicted each day by members of the public untill there was a winner and had to endure multiple daily "tasks" on air to win smaller prizes i.e. dailly newspapers, luxury items and immunity from eviction ect.

Tasks were given on the "Wake up with Webster" show staring web-man-Stoo-the-poo Webster, Andy Fun-Boy Robbie (of the "cho-cho's" and nananana "tay-life" fame)
and also Alan-MR.News-Smith (of "the Moobs" fame)
The tasks ranged from eating chilli chocolate, raw brussel sprouts and also tricky questions ect.
One task in particular was; sing 99 green bottles, nice one Stoo, very original!!!!
Being hypnotized by yours trully was also a task.

I followed the competition on the radio everyday as I though it was a great idea,
having no idea I was actually going in to do a wee show.
Stoo did tell me, to his defence, in a funny, indirect kinnda way.
but I thought "yeah-yeah" thanks for the thought, but I can't see it.
and simply past it of as a nice gesture.
He was serious.

I woke up early as usual on another typical Friday morning 7am sharp.
Not thinking clearly, mornin' breath, messy hair and stubble!
Kids are gane daft and the weather was guff,
looked at the time on my mob and a txt fae Stoo @ Radio tay,
Andy, it read, how quickly can you get to the wellgate?
your going to use your skills in the car.

My bowels moved....
Sh*t.

Scrapped my plans, grabbed a suit, no time to plan a show, just drive.
Got to the wellgate just as shoppers and workers were arriving, 8am came and it was announced to the car they were to be hypnotized.
As I was mic.ed up I was told by Stoo, I had four minutes between links to get them under and ready to go.
Man, that's a task in its-self, I was thrown to the lions.
There I was, 8am, in a car, in a shopping centre ,doing stage hypnosis live on radio and webcam with a fraction of the time I required.
Bizzare, doesn't even come close, even as far as hypno-shows go, this was completely off the f***ing wall.

Out of the four contestants in the car, only two were of any use hypno-wise,
but as it was severely cramped and I was rushed I felt it was best to bring out Ryan because he was at the back of the car and more or less out of reach, he would have been a great subject under "normal" circumstances.

I stuck with Wendy - known as the ?4yr old dinnerlady from Dundee as she was close to where I was and incredibly responsive.

In the car, I just more or less did a show continuoulsy for the sake of the car-mates and it was broadcast during the "links" on the radio.
I have no idea what went out but I just followed with what I could hear on the headphones.
I personally thought it was funny as hell and certainly had a great time, some of the radio audience called in with suggestions and in turn they were relayed down to me to try out which proved to be very interesting.

The suggestions are listed below and not all were broadcast for obvious reasons.
To get the ball rolling, Wendy and Ryan were first playing an invisible piano,
then I removed Ryan's suggestions and worked with Wendy from here.
Wendy used a shoe as an oxygen mask, I dont know if it was hers or not but she was breathing in very heavily and rather enjoying the "oxygen".
Next Wendy was told there was a big giant grizzly bear in the drivers seat and it loved being tickled.
Wendy loved tickling this bear untill she thought the bear had immunity, then she started to sulk, this was the first broadcast suggestion I think.
Stoo was made the hypnotist, (so I could nip away to mcds for breakfast!!) but failed to do anything

So, Yes I went back to Radio Tay again. (whoop whoop)
The show was WAKE UP WITH WEBSTER (mon-fri 6-10am)
and the focus this time was Andy Robbie
the "fresh ponce on-air"!!! of Andys diary fame.
But before I tell you about that, I should really start
back at the Tay Fm staff party, where this episode all began.
A few months previous, I kinda gatecrashed this staff doo
and zapped Andy Robbie to see if he would be good for the show.
I decided to do these routines on him,
play an invisible piano with various parts of his person,
play an invisible trombone,
freezing cold, (to the point where he hugged some dude to stay warm)
then roasting hot, so hot, he used his shoe as an oxygen mask.
and also used SOMEONE ELSE'S shoe as an oxygen mask.
Not something you would tend to do, I might add!
Next Andy became an aerobics instructor, demanding everybody get up and start doing lunges, a few people got up here and joined in, I won't name them!
(shes a maniac, maniac on the floor!!)

Winning the lotto and spending it all on sweets, then losing his ticket, before promptly searching MY pockets, taking MY money, the bugger!.
He also chased the invisible leprechaun round the room before spilling pints and jumping over tables, I think this is the point where he got his new jeans dirty on the knees!! haha that sounds really bad, I never did anything like that, f*ck off, im almost married!!!!!
and I think things ended there, I can't remember if there was any more, we were all getting pissed up by this point, so called it a day.
Andy came out of it claIming he had a sore head but that was due to the several pints.
I hope the staff enjoyed what they saw and believe they were convinced it IS real.

Before we knew it, it was the big day of going on air.
The date was arranged for Friday 02/05/08. I had a great show lined up for broadcast and was prepared for a good one, sadly Andy had other issues he had to deal with on that day, so it was called off, but then, in a stroke of genius, Stoo cornered him on air and kind of forced the issue, as he already anounced the show would go ahead, now nothing, so it was arranged for the next friday 090508

On this day, I went to the station as planned, Stoo welcomed me into the studio,
however, sadly, Andy had some personal issues he had to deal with again and called it off. So I stayed in the studio for a wee while and participated as much as I was comfortable in, which wasn't very much, I sort of clam in that situation.(if anyone knows me personally, you know I am a quiet, enclosed sort of person).
Unfortunately, it didnt go as planned but I am still greatfull for being there, as I am a fan of the show, and hope there is a future for hypnosis on the air waves
as it brings great entertainment to the masses.

Looking to the future, I hope more can be done for both WAKE UP WITH WEBSTER and "andyboy-hypnotist" stage shows, the material is there for the taking, lets do it!.

well, all I can say is,....... watch this space.

A yes So, I made it to the next stage of stardom!
I was on radio tay fm on friday 01/06/07
between 7.30 and 9.00am.
The show was Wake Up With Webster and the focus was on the
co-host Katy who I had hypnotized live on air for a wee laugh,
what a laugh we all had.
Pity it was not all broadcast as it was quite a good stint but a long time for someone to be under and give her best to do the job but she coped really well and im sure the radio audience was quite pleased with what was on air.
Ok so not all of the show went really well but sometimes a reaction just cant be provoked.
I had a good time and im sure Stoo and Katy enjoyed the experience, there were a few other djs in the studio also and they all enjoyed it too.
Here is a list of the suggestions Katy was given remember though she had to do a job and the traffic all at the same time, so in my eyes she was an excellent subject who is trully focused on any given task and has a good brain in her.

The first couple were not broadcast as this is the primary sugestions.
1 Katy will sleep on command "sleep",
2 there will be no swearing,
3 there will be no violence,
4 Katy will make donkey noises when she hears "Tay Fm",
5 a terrible tangy lemony taste in your mouth
6 Katy will forget how to say the tay bridge and replace this with "my backside", (this never appeared in the traffic report).
7 all sugestions will only be effective in the fm studio and not when she does duties in the other studio (tay am).

These are the broadcasted suggestions
8 Katy is a compulsive liar.
9 talk in a deep voice (this was barely audible so was removed)
10 and has an answer for everything.
11 forget how to laugh (didnt really have an effect)
12 katy has a rubber tongue that is twice the normal size.
13 you will be as disruptive as possible by shouting boring ect
14 you howl like a werewolf.
and finally one that was after the show and not broadcast.
15 katy you believe you are completely naked.
(she did not react to this as she was told before hand to expect it so it was no surprise to her).

As you can see it is a very complicated process with many draw backs and katy also had to do a job and traffic reports.
so well done to her.

It was very difficult to work it into the radio like that as hypnosis is more a visual thing than audio,
