The Association for International Cancer Research funds cutting edge research into the causes of cancer. In the past 27 years, we have supported a large variety of projects in all corners of the world. We currently have more than 220 projects underway.

Our Scientific Advisory Committee sits twice a year to evaluate project proposals from some of the world's top scientists. After intense scrutiny we then award grants to those projects that meet our strict criteria. This ensures that AICR funds only research of the highest quality. In 2007 we began funding over 80 new projects worldwide. Our aim in 2008 is to increase this number.

If you are able to assist us in supporting cancer research projects by making a donation, however large or small, please donate here: http://www.aicr.org.uk/donate.aspx

AICR Staff Skydive!
Many of our supporters have raised money over the years taking part in weird and wacky fundraising events. Suzanne and Claire, 2 new members of staff here at AICR were inspired by the success stories and decided that they wanted to organise a fundraising event for the charity too. Not to be left out, 4 other members of staff have decided to join in and take part in a tandem freefall skydive to raise money for AICR. The skydive will take place on Sunday 20th July 2008 at Skydive St Andrews.

You can read more about the skydive here http://www.aicr.org.uk/AICRStaffSkyd...

My friend and I (Lorna who is also a friend of yours here) are doing the race for life this year, it will be our 3rd year doing it. I know how much analysers and tests etc cost so I know that the money raised will go to an extreamly needy and worth while cause.

If you need any help with any fund raising events that are around the Dundee area, I'll only be too happy to help.
