A Friend in London was formed in 2005, when lead singer Tim Schou won the contest “Danish Young Talent 2005” which led to the recording of the band's first single, “Thoughts of a Boheme.” Since then the band has been touring all over Denmark while playing their part in various contests, including winning the European final of “Bodog Million Dollar Battle” and receiving praising live-reviews on their way. In November 2008 Tim went to London to play several gigs on different stages for singer-songwriters - including 'The Original Songwriters Showcase' - and again in April 2009, this time together with Sebastian to play new concerts with new songs. In June 2009 A Friend in London participated in the NXNE Festival in Toronto, Ontario, playing two shows that made new contacts among representatives of the Canadian music industry.
