Mercury hated being alone many of his kind wouldn't mind being alone but he needed someone to be there for him when he needed them to be. Mercury knew he had to face the fact he was going to grow up alone without a mothers guidance. Mercury looked up at her everything and everyone seemed so big to him well tall.

Her question took a little while to register in his mind once he heard what it was he blinked trying to think of the best way to tell this mare his mother had been killed he hadn't been able to really admit it to himself.
