Zacky V Presents.... VENGEANCE UNIVERSITY 6661
Me, Myself, and I
Vengeance has played guitar since he was thirteen years old, and is self taught. At one time played in a punk band called MPA*. He and M. Shadows (the band's lead vocalist) formed Avenged Sevenfold.

Vengeance has stated that there are many bands that influence him. "I still love the heavy bands. I love... Danny Elfman and Elvis Costello. [It's] all over the place - I think that's the best way to be."[1]

Vengeance is also known for his outlandish hairstyles like purple and blonde. He has had several different looks since the band formed (with its current lineup) in 1999. He has been known to wear over sized sunglasses and Misfits t-shirts, his popular Jack Daniels t-shirt, as well as shirts from movies.

Vengeance released a clothing line called "Zacky V. Presents..." on December 19, 2005.[2] The current design features the popular "Vengeance University" logo, which Zacky designed himself. The line currently features t-shirts and belt buckles, featuring his trademark "Est. 6661" tag

  • Info On New Album And Dvd

    July 9, 2007

    Avenged Sevenfold
After many months in the studio crafting a new, groove-oriented effort, Avenged Sevenfold will release their fourth album in October. The band is just weeks away from finishing the record and they will head to New York later this month to mix it with studio engineer Andy Wallace (Linkin Park, System of a Down). However, for the first time, Avenged Sevenfold produced the album on their own.

"We met with a lot of different producers and felt that we would be going more in their direction, rather than doing what we wanted to do," singer M. Shadows told MTV News. "We wanted to make our record. We've spent a lot of time in the studio, and we've learned how to do everything. It was the only way we would be able to get our ideas across, 100 percent, to our fans."

He added, "It was a very conscious decision on our part to make the most down-to-the-bone Avenged Sevenfold album we could. There's no glitz or glamour — just a heavy-hitting record that encompasses all of Avenged Sevenfold. It's a record that new fans and old fans will love. It's easily our best-sounding record. We spent so much time on textures and different vibes, and we'd try everything in the studio... We wanted to make a record we'd be really proud of, and the biggest difference with this record is that it's all groove-oriented — no more machine-gun drums going 120 miles per minute. It's very 'one-two, one-two,' where you're just banging your head the entire time."

In the meantime, Avenged will offer their first DVD, All Excess, on July 17. It traces the group's entire history, including early live shows and even their first official meeting. "It shows fans how we wrote every record and where we recorded them, and there's footage from some early shows, when we still sucked," Shadows said. "It has everything in it, and you learn everything about us with this DVD."
