Roadsafe Taranaki are running a road safety education day for licensed drivers at the A&P showgrounds, Stratford on the weekend of 27th & 28th March 2010. The full day training programme offered by the Holden Adavanced Driving Team will give drivers skills in.
-Basic car control.
-Practical accident avoidance/collision prevention techniques.
-Defensive and safe driving techniques.
-Advanced safe cornering techniques.
-Positive reinforcement of safe driver attitudes.


Its free, there will be heaps of prizes and free give aways! It's worth checking out, everyone could use a bit of road advice! Fellow drivers will know what I mean.

Youth Works is an up and coming youth organization located in Stratford. Our establishment is a place where youth of any subculture can come to chill, feel safe and talk to people who wont judge them and try to help each person as an individual. if any at risk youth seek help our services are able to assist.

We are currently implementing an I.T Suite for youth to use for homework, research, music downloads. We also have a website which is currently under construction which will have all our services available from the web. Updates will be posted!
Soon to be joining us ia a Youth Nurse, who will be accessible at our centre during certain days throughout the working week. No appointments necessary she will have an open door policy for any youth with any concern.
We also host a holiday programme for the younger youth of the community which is held every 2week holiday period every second day of the week.
