I have been writing at Squidoo.com for a number of months now. I've found it to be a really geat outlet for urges I get now and then to put words to paper, and it is a good way for me to promote my Reiki business.

And, if I'm lucky, I may even earn a few quid now and then.

Yesterday morning I had chest pain that got the worse it had ever been and sent a hot burst of pain up into my neck and down both arms.

Paul immediately phoned the ambulance - the rapid responder was here in about 5 minutes and the ambulance was right behind him. They checked me over and did an ECG - showed up normal.

They took me to hospital and because I wasn't actually having a heart attack I got to wait. The triage nurse saw me and got an initial assessment about 20 minutes later. Some time after that, maybe an hour I don't know an EMT got blood from me and put a cathlon (intermittant IV access) in my arm.

Aruond 2 or so, I'd been at the hospital since just before 10AM, the ER doctor came and got me. He talked to me for a bit then took me around to what is called the resus unit for monitoring. Once they got a bed clear for me they hooked me up to the heart monitor and did another ECG - still normal.

Had another bout of pain around 3 and the nurse put me on oxygen for a while, did another ECG - still normal, and gave me a dose of nitroglycerin.

I was moved from there to the Emergency Assessment Unit around 7:30ish to await lab test results. That came back negative by 9 and I was told I could go home. Paul woke the boys, put their robes over their jammies, and stuck their shoes on, and came and got me. He had to bring me clothes to wear - I'd been wearing my nightgown and a robe when the ambulance took me to hospital that morning.

So - we don't know what was causing the chest pain. I wasn't have a heart attack yesterday.

But we still don't know what the hell is going on.

I see the urologist this afternoon about my kidney stone type pain - an ultrasound scan done this morning still shows no signs of any stones but I am still having aches and discomforts in that area. And, I did pass blood in my urine back the first week of January.

I see the endocrinologist about my calcium and PTH levels tomorrow morning.

I go back to hospital Friday all day for another round of testing in the Rapid Access Heart Clinic.

And, Kieran is asking if the doctors are going to take the owie out of mummy's "juice" because it doesn't taste right. Mummy juice being his name from breast milk and for my breasts.

14. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead, invest your energy in the positive present moment.

15. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn and pass all your tests. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.

16. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a college kid with a maxed out charge card.

17. Smile and laugh more. It will keep the energy vampires away.
