PARENT THEME - Main page of your website is themed to your broadest keyword or phrase.

SILOS - These are 'Isolated categories' or the most relevant / important keyphrases to the broader parent theme.

ARTICLES - Place article pages under the most relevant Silo. They can link to the other articles in that silo but DO NOT link to articles in other Silos (if you have to link to an article, you can link to its parent silo).

NAVIGATION - If I click on an Article Page - links to the other (non parent) silos disappear. Forcing the user up to the parents & back down again.

TIPS - Use breadcrumbs to show where the user is in the site and thus allowing him to only travel out through the most relevant links.

EXAMPLE - Explore About.com to see irrelevant links and content disappear as you narrow down into a subject. Each page only contains highly relevant information and links.
