hmm what shall i say? I'm lost i can't remember now. but i did want to say something...no really honestly i want to say something good.
we had a lecture/ session on thursday just gone with Stan at the alt school in cannons creek. one thing he talked about was not making lots of rules when you're hanging out with young people. ha i can relate cos it gets hard to remember lots of rules. he said it's better to have 'principles' rather than rules. like this..
"when we make mistakes we will
1) own it
2) fix it
3) learn from it"
and this principle can be used in most circumstances in life.
like this...
a plate is broken
i own it (yes, i broke the plate)
i fix it (maybe not with glue, 'sorry mum i broke the plate')
i learn from it (next time i will wipe the butter off my fingers before carrying my plate to the bench)
or...
i get mad at a kid and yell at him
i own it (man that was dumb, i was stressed and out of line)
i fix it (sorry mate, i shouldn't of taken it out on you)
i learn from it (if i'm feeling down or stressed go take a few minutes to stop and think)
etc etc.
i think that's what i wanted to say for now. hmm yup that was it
