Wadfest Charity |
by
AJ Tucker
This year, as in previous years, the charity we will be collecting money for is Cancer Research UK.
There will, as always, be the Karen Methven, Charity Auction. The Lucky Beggars Envelopes will also make another appearance.
We'll need lots of stamps, and prizes, for those, and we'll need auction items too.
There will also be other things going on over the weekend, either planned or spontaneous, to raise money too.
In the last 5 years, Wadfest has raised almost £15,000 for Cancer Research UK. Please help us to keep this total building.

Wadfest Traders |
by
AJ Tucker
This year Wadfest has managed to get a good selection of traders for you to peruse, and possibly purchase from.
Those that have already shown an interest are as follows:
Barry Wakefield Well known as the special Discworld jeweller, with several pieces that are based on items in the books.
Purky Products Maker of splendid jewellery and dragons, all Harry's jewellery is hand made, and of splendid quality.
Vimsey Vimsey has started his own line of characters, and they are really good. He has also said he would supply a paint your own piece, so make sure that you visit his stall.
Catskind Catskind is Wadfest's Artist, and is getting an excellent, name in Discworld circles for her Discworld Fan Art. Why not have a chat, and if asked nicely I am sure she will sign a picture for you.
Dave Hodges Hodgesarggh himself will be there to sell you various bits of camping equipment, plus probably one or two other bits.
Bernard Pearson Although Bernard has not confirmed that he is coming yet, I am sure he will be able to get somebody to sell some little brown envelopes for him.
TS Creations The Seamstress, Tamara is a fully trained dress maker, so if you want that something special she is the young lady to see.
Wadfest Yes we will be there to sell this years merchandise. There will be a link soon with pictures of the Artwork.

Wadfest 2008 - Light Box Parade |
by
AJ Tucker
As this years theme is Fat Tuesday we thought it would be fun to have a night time light up individual carnival float parade on the Saturday night.
There will be a prize for the person with the best float.
How many people would be up to entering this event?
