- I am managing director of Uthoht Production Enterprises. A company with interests in Music Recording (Serius Entertainment), Music Publishing (Uthoht Music Solutions), Eventing, Website Design (Pass the Popcorn) and Clothing (Size3).
I started my career as a rapper frequenting hip hop matinee sessions at Pure Platinum, which moved to Q’s then Le Club and Rippington’s. I was encouraged by a friend and fellow m.c. to start organizing hip hop sessions at night. Under the banner of Universal Thoughts I organized some hip hop gigs and competitions in Braamfontein, Johannesburg. This led me to being involved with major record companies like Universal, Sony and Gallo through doing promotional work for their new releases.
I am currently releasing and pushing new group Rub-A-duB through Serius Entertainment. I am also in charge of The S.A. Hip Hop Heritage Series which will see Serius Entertainment releasing a series of albums and DVD’s celebrating South African Hip Hop Heritage.
