The aptly named Solway Coast will experience its ninth frolicky Wickerman happening on 23rd & 24th of July 2010.

From cheeky publicity seeking upstart to hardy festival perennial, the Wickerman has established its roots for continued organic growth. Wickerman 2010 will once again see a parade of fops, spivs, dandies, babes, dudes, swells, cats and kids dressed in their jauntiest threads, melding together to create a festival vibe which is second to none.

Wickerman debutantes who have taken the decision to sashay down the festival road less travelled can expect sporadic mirth and frivolity alongside sustained barrages of contentment.

    • Wickerman Christmas Cards On Sale now!

      What better way to send Seasons Greetings this year than with an official Wickerman Christmas card.

      Each card features a colour photograph of this year's Wickerman burning and the words 'Here's to you. Merry Christmas' on the inside.

      Sold in packs of 5 cards (A5 size) and envelopes at a cost of £5 + postage & packing.

    • Wickerman Festival Tickets Go On Sale

      Southern Scotland’s premier music event The Wickerman has announced that tickets for the 2010 festival are to go on sale from the 30th October.

      Last summer saw 15,000 revellers descend on the Kirkcudbrightshire site for a weekend which was characterised by glorious sunshine and blue skies.

      Event owner Jamie Gilroy said he was confident of matching last year’s line-up of The Human League, The Zutons and The Magic Numbers.

      The Wickerman organisers have also announced a ghoulish fancy dress theme of vampires and werewolves for the 2010 event.

      Artistic Director Sid Ambrose explained “The build up to Halloween has influenced us to choose a horror related theme which is also in keeping with the festivals links with the 70’s movie of the same name The Wickerman.”

      The festival takes place at East Kirkcarswell Farm on the 23rd and 24th of July 2010.

      Weekend tickets cost £85, kids under 13 admitted free.
