The Purple Bus is best described as a youth club on wheels!
Staffed by the West Sussex Youth Service and owned by a charitable trust, the Bus trundles around West Sussex visiting small rural towns and villages that have little or no other facilities for teenagers.
We work in several villages at a time visiting each village one evening a week for a term. Young people come to the Bus, we get to know them and together we decide on what they want to do and what they want to know about.
On the Purple Bus we use loads of tools and resources to have fun and look at issues that effect young people aged 13-19. We’ve got… Laptops, digital cameras, music, quizzes, games, art, and information leaflets to name but a few!
