- As has happened many times before for many other bands, they split and new ones are formed! In the case of the members of 'The Trade' this happened and never was there a bigger blessing!
5 guys from different backgrounds of work, music and play were all called to for a band to 'give it a go'! Why dream and wait, just try to make it happen!

We have known each other for years off and on.
We all knew each other could play, or at least liked to make a sound.
When we got together we had decided it was time to see what we could do and within the space of 4 months meeting once a week we had enough tracks to record our first album, Empire!
Everything just seemed to click!
It's not often that there is so much commitment and enthusiasm from all members of a band... we just love making music!

Upcoming gigs
Hey folks
Just a wee update on our gigs in the next 2 weeks or so.
On Fri 22nd May, we down In Glasgow at O2 Academy, where we will also be hosting the Aftershow Perty!! So that will put the guys DJ skills to the test!
Doors are 7.30 and Aftershow is 11pm til 2am, Tickets are £6 including Aftershow and I have some left to sell.
Sat 23rd May, its Dexters, our First Dundee gig in quite a while, so really looking forward to it, Entry is £5 pay at The Door and we will be on at around 11pm or so, its a 14+ gig
Sun 24th we are supporting The Ray Summers band at PJMolloys Dunfermline, its our first visit to Dunfermline and Ray Summers are a top band.
Then on to Weds 27th May, where we are at The Tunnels Aberdeen, supporting Mark Morriss fae The Bluetones.
Sat 30th May is The Montrose Festival, we are at The Ash Bar on at 3pm or so, its free entry,We will run a wee bus, if anyone is up for it? will leave at 12.30pm or so, as Ghosts of Progress are on before us at Ash Bar, so you can catch their set also if you wish.
So a busy wee time ahead, hopefully you can amke it along to some of the nights?

Our Video of The Dealer is now being shown on Virgin Media music on Demand.
Road To V Channel
Will also feature on a programme featuring highlights of last years V Festival and this year's hopeful bands.
Last years headlinners included Stereophonics, Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy, The Verve and Kasier Chiefs to name but a few, Oasis are Headlining this year!!!
So if you have Virgin Cable TV give it a wee watch and tell us what you think?
No bad for a wee band fae Forfar to be on National TV.

The Twa Tams and Jo Whiley
Alright Folks
We are down in Edinburgh This weekend, Fri for a radio slot on Leith FM and Sat night at 3 Sisters Loft.
The following (Fri 3rd April) we are in Perth at Twa Tams.
There is a bus on the go Fae Forfar and Dundee.
Leaving Forfar at 7.30pm and picking up in Dundee at 7.45 ish.
Price is £7 for the bus and it's free Entry to the gig.
Just let any of us know if you are up for a wee night out in Perth?

Jo Whiley has a an Irate section on her website, if any of you kind souls could add The Trade to it that would be awesome!!!
