Hey. I’m Sushil. I’m originally from St Ann’s in Nottingham but luckily I managed to get out alive :P .
My dad quits his job whenever something better comes along, so I’ve moved around quite a bit.
Right now I’m living in London. It’s okay here.. I like the parks and the people are really friendly - except this one guy I got involved with recently got sent down for a murder.
To be honest, I'm still quite scarred from the whole ordeal and one of the reasons I've set up my profile is to talk to people about the experience.. so if anyone is feels like being a good agony aunt (or uncle) please check out my blog and help me get some perspective.. :)

  • Before everything fell apart

    Last year I was seeing this guy Tarique, even though we had been going out for a few months he would sometimes ignore my texts, and would only see me when he wanted to. When we did meet up it was usually out on the streets with his gang. A lot of my friends would ask me why I was with him because his gang were known for starting trouble in school. I guess I liked the fact my friends didn't approve and the way it wasn't all about me. I liked being in the gang. Everyone was really close and looked out for me because I was Tarique's girlfriend. Looking back, I knew he was trouble, and should've seen that something bad was coming, but I was too busy caught up with feelings to notice…

  • Where it started

    It all started one day when word spread that a boy who went to our school had been murdered on a bus. It turned to be my friend Becky's brother. I didn't know him well, but it was a sad day for everyone.
    About a week later I got a call from Tarique asking me round. That night I was at his place, just me and him. For the first time we properly clicked and I felt like I was finally beginning to see the real him. Everything was going well until we starting talking about Becky's brother, he let out that he did it. He and his gang stabbed Becky's brother to death on that bus. After that, everything changed.

  • Hiding from reality

    When I found out the truth, I felt in my heart that Tarique was troubled and lost. I didn't hate him, but I felt disgusted by what he'd done and needed to make things right. When I asked what we should do about it, he told me to leave it. When I persisted he blew-up. I remember him grabbing me by the neck, shaking me, telling me to stay quiet or end up like Becky's brother. I was terrified.
    As week dragged on I was haunted by what I knew. It cut me up to see news reports, people crying, flowers and worst of all it hurt to see Becky, who was broken inside. I started staying at home for days-on-end because I couldn't take what was going on any more. Seeing everything was just a reminder of how I'd failed Becky and her family. When I started to ignore Becky's texts - which were often cries for help – was when I knew I’d hit rock bottom.

    Just saying again that sorry for what happened, it must have been bloody awful. Its just so wrong that people kill people and its horrible. But put it behind you, you seem a wonderful person, dont let it bring you down.

    I've had problems in my life, things went wrong and nothing ever seemed to go right, but you've just got to take a step back and think. You dont want to carry on the rest of your life being down about it do you, when you could be out there enjoying life. Everyone is supporting you, and i certainly am.

    this is like the really good show 'fallout' thats was on channel fours disarming britain.

    It was a fantastic way for children to know how hard there life would be if the killed/stabbed someone.
