TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR MTV STEP UP 2 COMPETITION
|
1. This competition will be governed by these terms and conditions and entrants agree that they have read and understood these terms and conditions and will be bound by them.
2. Entrants may enter the competition by uploading a video of their best dance moves at url www.bebo.com/stepup2 (the “Dance Video”). The Dance Video must be between thirty (30) seconds and two (2) minutes in length. Costs to enter the competition via the Internet may vary so please check with your network operator for current charges. Entrants should seek the permission of the person paying the bill before entering.
3. The closing date for entries is 11.59pm on 23 March 2008.
4. This competition is open to residents of the UK only, excluding employees and immediate relatives of employees of Viacom Brand Solutions Limited (the “Promoter”) and/or of MTV Networks Europe and/or Universal Pictures Limited or of their respective parents, subsidiaries or affiliated companies or any other person professionally connected with this competition.
5. One (1) entry per person. To enter, the entrant must be registered or register for account with Bebo at www.bebo.com/InviteJoin.jsp giving their name, age, address, (including postcode) and telephone number. The entrant will then be able to upload their Dance Video.
6. The Promoter will, at its sole discretion, select the best five (5) Dance Videos received from all entrants. Viewers will vote online at www.bebo.com/stepup2 for their favourite entrant from these five (5) Dance Videos until 28 March 2008. The first prize winner will be the entrant who gains the most votes from the viewers. The two (2) runners up will be the entrants who gain the second and third most votes from the viewers.
7. The prizes are as follows:
First prize winner:
Two (2) economy return flights to New York for the winner and the winner’s guest and accommodation in New York for three (3) nights in one (1) room for two (2) persons at a four star hotel or equivalent.
For the avoidance of doubt, if the winner is under eighteen (18) years, the winner’s guest must be a parent or legal guardian.
In the event that the date of the trip falls within school term-time, the winner and/or the winner’s guest as relevant must obtain the prior written consent of their headteacher and their parent/legal guardian for their absence from school.
The trip must be taken within six (6) months of the closing date excluding travel on or around public holidays both in the UK and the USA. The exact dates for travel shall remain subject to availability.
The winner and the winner’s guest must hold a valid UK passport and any other necessary travel documentation (including, without limitation, visas where necessary) and are advised to obtain their own travel insurance.
In addition the winner will have their Dance Video shown in an advertisement which will run once on an MTV channel.
Runners up:
The two (2) runners up will have their Dance Videos shown in an advertisement which will run once on an MTV channel.
8. For the avoidance of doubt, the prizes do not consist of anything other than expressly set out in paragraph 7 above and no additional costs (including, without limitation, spending money) are included.
9. In respect of all entrants under the age of 18, all prizes are subject to the applicable winner first printing off these terms and conditions, obtaining the relevant signatures from their parent or legal guardian and sending the signed document to Alice Brown, Step Up 2 Competition, Viacom Brand Solutions Limited, UK House, 180 Oxford Street, London, W1D 1DS.
10. The winners of the prizes are responsible for all applicable taxes and expenses not specified in the prize description.
11. The first prize winner will be notified by telephone or email within five (5) days of the closing date. The date of the trip will be agreed between the winner and the Promoter.
