- Shenley Scorpions Basketball Club has existed in Milton Keynes in various forms since 1992. It was originally founded as the Shenley Bulls and competed in what was known as the M40 league. Following the arrival of the MK Lions organisation in 1998 the club decided to become a satellite club, known as the Shenley Lions. The club was by far the most successful satellite club for the years it was affiliated winning the Bucks Junior Basketball League in almost every age group and producing some of the most talented National League players. However in 2008 it was decided that it would be in the best interests of the club and its members to end its affiliation with the MK Lions and embark in its new direction as the Shenley Scorpions. Having emerged as a club in its own right the Shenley Scorpions attained the ultimate honour of being recognised by the sport’s governing body, England Basketball, as worthy of Clubmark and 3 Star Accreditation.

- At Shenley Scorpions Basketball Club our motto is "Basketball For All" regardless of gender, place of origin, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, political belief, economic status or ability.
Shenley Scorpions are more than a basketball club; we class ourselves as a community. We hold quiz nights, Xmas parties for the kids with presents food and drink, annual awards nights where EVERY player receives a medal and awards recognise effort, politeness, and other qualities we value and encourage in the children.
Want to play basketball for a team? Want to make great friends, get fit? At Shenley Scorpions you can do all of these things in a fun and safe environment. Take basketball as far as you want to, no pressure. We have children who play for the city, the county, the South of England and the England National Team, but if you just want to come along to learn and play at our practice sessions that's fine too. - Club Events
- In the past we have had a full All Star game with guest professional players, and have had a professional DVD made of the event. Tommy Baker the world record holder in basketball tricks and ball handling visited and did shows and workshops with all the age groups. Also, as a part of our new partnership with the Bristol Academy Flyers programme we will be also be running regular visits to Bristol Academy and hopefully annual tournaments between the two clubs for all age groups.
We do all this for FREE it is all included within our membership and weekly fees. All our coaches and helpers are volunteers and do it all for the children free of charge. - Club Training Times
- We are based at Shenley Leisure centre, and have 2 large basketball halls at this facility. Practice is on a Saturday afternoon with sessions from 2pm to 8 pm

Annual Membership £12
Weekly charge (paid monthly) of between £2.50 and £3.50.
We do not force anyone to buy a kit as we have a full set of match kits provided by the club if you want to play for one of our teams. If you play for Shenley Scorpions we charge you no match fees for playing for us at tournaments unlike other clubs.
