By the final stages TV talent shows are full of nice people with laudable dreams and lovely voices, but when you first saw Shayne Ward on The X Factor, you knew he was different.

The real deal.

He has an extraordinary voice, of course. And he’s a sweet, good-looking lad. But there was something more. A hunger. A sense that he didn’t just enjoy performing, he needed it. Shayne, in other words, has that elusive X factor.

Shayne won the X Factor by just over 1% of the 10 million votes cast.

[17th Nov 08] An apology for Friday night

I would like to apologise to all of my fans in Northern Ireland for not being able to attend Children In Need on Friday night. I was unable to attend as I had a commitment in England which unfortunately clashed time-wise and I was unable to make it back to Northern Ireland in time. I even tried to get a helicopter last minute to rush across for the end but I was told that they couldn't fly, believe me I tried everything!!

I hope to see you all soon at my Irish dates over Christmas. I will make it up to all of you and we'll have a great night at the shows!

[12th Nov 08] Cheshire Oaks Christmas Lights

We've got some fantastic, festive news for you: Shayne will be switching on the lights of Britain's biggest Christmas tree at Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet this Friday.

He'll be performing some of his biggest hits from 6pm, before switching on the lights at 6.30pm. And with 100,000 lights adorning the 90ft Christmas tree, it's sure to be a spectacular affair!

So if you live nearby, be sure to head down to Cheshire Oaks this Friday, 14th November, to start the festive season in style!

[10th Nov 08] Shayne at Childline Concert

Shayne is thrilled to be taking part in the Childline Concert in Dublin next month.
The Concert sees a host of stars take to the stage of the brand new O2 Arena in Dublin, in aid of the esteemed children's charity. Shayne will be joined on the night by Girls Aloud, The Script, Boyzone and many others for what is sure to be a sensational show, and it is estimated the event will raise £400,000 for Childline.

The concert takes place on 16th December, and tickets go on sale next Thursday, 13th November, at 9am at www.ticketmaster.com Tickets will sell out fast, so get in there quick!
