things i hate

when you eye twitches and you think the person your talking to can see it, when toilet tissue doest hang closet to you, when volume doesnt go in anything but 5's, when you dont get what you ordered, a bad nights sleep, people that skip queues, when your trousers rip at the bottom (hello some people are petite), when a bird craps on you(its not goodluck!), my rucksack aka home!, spaghetti bolognese and lasagne (same thing people!), maths, sand, when i jab myself in the eye in the shower (end up looking like quazzimodo), and birds that squawk in the morning (must invest in a pellet gun)

Kakadu and Crocs!
Right so when i arrived in Darwin, north Australia, i was going to be leaving for Kakadu the next day. Kakadu is a National park, one of many in Australia, and its situated in north Australia. I got picked up really early to head to Kakadu, which is a very long drive away from Darwin, where i was. So the first thing on the agenda was to take a trip on a boat on this lake/ lagoon where i found out when we got there that there was going to be crocodile's, i was really excited..anything to do with wildlife and im just in awe. Hope onto the boat, and the boat driver, such a nice guy, had been working there for 8years, and by the way he talked about the crocs for the whole time, you could just see his huge passion for the crocs, and explaining to us that, fair enough crocs are in fact a dangerous animals, and theres things you just dont do, if you dont want to die, like stand on a railway track, so he made a few comparisons and by the end of it he had everyone on the boat realise that crocs have a very bad reputation which is false. Like you know those shows "croc wrestler" and what not that they are totally staged, a croc needs to be at 30C and if the croc is 1 degree below that his energy is cut in half, soin those show thy dont have the crocs anyway near that temperature, so really a kid could wrestle a croc, without getting in any danger, and they make them out to be monsters, when infact they are just surviving. He also said that after working beside them for 8 years he can guarantee that they are the most intelligent animals on earth. During the boat trip, we saw so many crocs, the thought of us being in there home, and that if the crocs wanted to get us they probably would be able with little effort. so i was a bit freaked, to be honest, just imagine a 4/5 metre croc with huge teeth huge tail that with one swing could kill you, yeah id say you be freaked too, especially if you were right beside him in a little boat. After getting over the whole, Oh dear lord we are right beside this almost dinosaur animal that would love to take a chunk out of me if it got the chance, i finally was in pure amazement that i had the chance to see them in their natural habitat. On that tour i got the most information about the crocs that i have with any other tour it was just great. And also had the privilege to see loads of crocs and birds. The highlight was seeing the 5metre croc lay on the grass and then turn adn dive into the water, it was just beautiful! After that we went and took drives around Kakadu and saw wildlife and amazing scenery, then made our way back to our camp, set up camp and made dinner and chilled out , attempted to play the dijeridu, which i cant play, have one back home in my room, and never gets played, and also waiting for the hike the following day. It was great to sleep under the stars like that, i love camping but that was a first it was great. during the night i heard so many things kinda got freaked out as also there was a billabong like 100metre where we were and crocs can smell for 100's of metre so yeah...my mind started to wander that night!! Next morning we found ourselves heading for a mountain hike to Baramundi Gorge, so i was all kitted out in my boots and had my backpack full of water!! so i was all set, and ive done treking and mountain climbing loads before. start climbing up and treking up this mountain side, trying to keep in the shade, and not to fall back, it was seriously difficult, it wouldnt have been as bad if it wasnt as hot, but the heat was something else, and no amount of water was going to cool us down! Finally after near heart attacks all the way up we were there and it was so beautiful, really was spectacular so worth the near death treck all the way up so see Baramundi gorge! Then when we though all the mountain treks were over, we couldn't have been more wrong, we were on way to Jim Jim falls which we were going to go swimming at, so i was looking forward t

Cold Rock anyone?
has Anybody been to Cold Rock? i was told that i HAD to go to cold rock, basically its an ice cream store and they make it for you then and there and put it into a cup waffle cone...so first off you pick your ice cream.....any type..they have everything... then they give you a choice of different sweets (gummy bears, oreos, bountys etc etc) and then they also give you a choice of (sauces, cookie dough, flakes etc) they literally have everything to put on it that you could imagine. then once you picked out all the mixes, they get huge hunks of your ice cream put it on a frozen surface and bash and mash all the stuff you picked to go with it....!!AMAZING ISNT IT!! i got...ferrero roche ice cream and cookie dough and peanut m&m's......it was so good!!

Smelly, Growling Camels!
When i was in Broome, i went to Cabel Beach which is ment to be one of the nicest beaches in OZ, and it really was one of the nicest beaches ive ever seen, aqua blue sky, against the clear sparkling ocean and then the warm white sand against your feet, now really whats better than that! This is where i was going to go on the camels at sun set, started walking towards them and i saw them far off walking in a line! i was in pure amazement. When i got there i saw them up close they were all sitting down in a line, chewing on carrorts. They're such beautiful animals. smell a bit funky though but its so worth it!, picked out our camel, theres two people to a camel, and our camel was called Zahara, she was fabulous, apparently one of three girls in the line, she beats up the guys sometimes, good woman!! When people were getting on the camels would growl really loud, pretty scary to be honest, it was like a huge dog! I got up onto her, she didn't growl that much which was good, and the smell, every now and again you'd get this fowl whaft of....camel i wanted to spray them with febreze! Anywho so we started bobbing along and it was so relaxing the swaying and bobbing of their spindly legs, it was so great! The whole experience, being on this wonderful camel and the watching the sun set across the sea, it was just overall amazing. I love camels, i would have bribed one with a carrot, if i thought he'd come home with me! So at the end of the i went got my bag, and they could smell that i had carrots in my bag, i have no idea how as i wrapped them up real good, but yeah they all turned their heads in my direction, so i quickly fed a few, and when the carrots were all gone, they kept on stretching out their long necks to get another little whiff of a carrot!haha! they are just so cool, really if anybody has the chance to go on a camel, just go for it!!bring carrots too!
