The Phone Debate by Ron Pollack
I was speaking with my wife Mimi the other day about technology with my wife Mimi. With iPhone vs. Blackberry becoming a large topic of conversation I decided I would chime in. Men seemed to be the general users of the blackberry while women preferred the iPhone, even though I know allot of guys who have iPhones. My wife agrees with me. The iPhone seems to be very easy to use, is more fun and seems to be more in keeping with a woman's every day running around.
Hands down, I like my Blackberry. It gives me a lot of depth of features, which I need for the business world, especially with the amount of email traffic I get. I like having real keys on my Blackberry, whereas my wife like the touch screen of the iPhone. I also feel the operating system does what it is supposed to do on my Blackberry and I know a few tricks to get maximum usability out of it. Out of all the other operating systems in the world the iPhone is said to have the most technologically advanced system.
I guess all that advance makes it more user friendly for my wife. I don't think either one is better then the other when you look into it. The Bold is the best BlackBerry up until now, and it is fine for business use, but it’s not perfect. Most of the problems of the iPhone have already been addressed and it is more of a consumer device.
It all comes down to what you like and what you really want in a phone. My Ron Pollack blogs contain a wealth of information you'll find useful.

Making Money at a Young Age: A Ron Pollack Story
People often ask me how I got interested in managing money. At a young age, my Stock Market friends and I, seemed to have a knack for business. Even though, technically, my resume starts at Yale, I did have many previous so called "careers". When I was 12 I became a candy trader.
My mother, some friends and I were reminiscing recently. Moms love to tell stories about their children, and me being the baby of the family, my mom, Shirley, has a lot of fond memories of my childhood. She was remembering the day she got a call from my principal and was called into the school.
I changed schools in 6th grade from a public school in Detroit to a private one in the suburbs. Near my old school, where I still lived, was a specialty candy store that had hard-to-find items that my new suburban friends were literally drooling over. I was preparing for my Bar Mitzvah at the same time at a Hebrew class at our synagogue that had the best bubble gum shaped like coins. My friends were really crazy about that Israeli gum. As soon as the synagogue would receive a shipment I would buy them out completely and then resell it to my friends. My friends ended up funding most of my capital needs by paying me in advance. I provided delivery, outside of class and homeroom and a broad selection of candy.
My candy selling business quickly grew. I was raking in the profits, until the principal realized something was going in his school, and my mom got a call to come see him. I got the point. I sold the rest of my inventory at low prices to my friends shortly after. That was the end of my business venture, but it was the start of me analyzing supply and demand in the marketplace, looking for ways to profit from market conditions, and knowing when to take profits and move on.
It is interesting to see how people get their start in their career choices. I mention other people who have greatly influenced me on my Ron Pollack blog, ttp

Ron Pollack's Blog About Turtles
As father to five kids, Mimi, my wife and I, always like to keep it educational. Living in Florida, we are on vacation year round, at least we have access to special activities that others travel hundreds of miles to encounter. When our kids were younger, we spent most weekends at our beach house, located on one of the most beautiful and secluded beaches in Florida's North Clearwater Beach. "Turtle Season" was the favorite season to all of us. I know our kids often saw the turtle areas roped off and had questions about the turtles. So I decided to share some of my favorite turtle facts they can pass on to their kids.
-Weighing less than one ounce, hatchlings are only 2 inches long. -As adults they can weigh up to 200 to 300 pounds.
-The nest temperature during incubation determines a sea turtle's sex. -Cold will be a boy. -The warm nests will turn out females.
(Ellen, our neighbor that belongs to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, helps monitor 26 miles of Pinellas County's coast line to help rescue or report nesting for the wild life. The combination of releasing injured and sick turtles back into the wild while ensuring as many hatchlings as possible make it into the Gulf helps protect these species from extinction. cmaquarium.org is a neat way to check them out.)
Now for the Fun Facts! -Florida is home to 80% of Loggerhead turtles on U.S. beaches.
-These turtles return to the same beaches they were hatched to lay their eggs after migrating thousands of miles. -Only when the female lays her eggs do they come ashore.
The turtles make our Florida beach house one of our favorite Ron Pollack family vacation spots.
