Hmmm, where to start….

Recently turned 34, and that was crap, worst birthday yet. Looking for a bit of fun. Last time was at the Saints and Sinners birthday bash, what a night.

Actually you know, on a bit of a downer this week (7 July). Everything just now doesn't go well for me, convinced I have broken a mirror. Oh for a bit of hope and good luck.

I have an incredibly crap job working for the government, which just gets worse and worse. I also work in a cinema, which I actually really enjoy. Have a thing for cinemas, La Scala, The Greens, Gaumont etc, obviously the older ones - think the super cinemas were just great, the Greens was beautiful - very few remaining unfortunately.

Find film and tv production interesting, applied for a job with the BBC, got through a few stages, but didn't quite make it, next year perhaps.

Just discovered this great song from Bryn Christopher, bit Amy Winehouseish, but still, brilliant!

Right, what now, ah, smoke...

Spiders, wasps and moths. Oh and the being decapitated by a fine wire, stretched across the road when out on my bike - believe it or not, this has already happened to someone.
Happiest When
Riding my bike on a good clear day. Love sleeping and relaxing, just vegging. Good music and good films.
Angry When
Nothing goes right, as in the month of June and so far also July - ahhhhhhh!!!! People give you lame ass excuses for their actions. Being told to 'smile Craig' - that does my head in. There may be reasons why I dont feel like smiling. I'm not a smilie person, if something makes me smile, good. But at heart, I'm a dour faced bastard.
What also angers me
When you send a text message to someone, and it may even be a question or an apology - whatever! and you get nothing back - that really pisses me off. Its common courtesy.

  • Up-Ended - knocked off my bike today

    Heading work, approached junction at Blackscroft, slowed down ready to stop for a car coming and BANG - car goes into the back of me. I flip up and back, land on the bike then the road - bike continues somewhat down the road - some damage, rideable and fixable.

    My left side is pretty much soar right now. Just got all the insurance people to deal with now - what a pain! Literally!

    On a bit of a downer just now. I have been checking out all the intros from shows that I used to watch as a kid - remembering a happy childhood. As I watched the intros from the shows when I was older, I remember my thoughts, hopes and dreams for the future, all of which have dwindled away.

    A future that hasn't turned out at all like I thought it would - many parts have been disappointing and a waste of time. Friends and family loved and lost. Turbulent relationships and no career to speak of.

    I have friends that I hold dear and can go to them about anything - however, sometimes, you just want to write it down, get it off your chest. A diary if you will.

    I'm at a point in life where I am lost and don't know where to go - where do I go from here. Redundancy has fucked me up financially, still waiting to hear about my accident insurance and liability issues. I haven't had a relationship for sometime, let alone actually being with anyone for a while - the gentle, caring touch that comes with love, or passion for that matter. I am lonely, in search of something or someone, but dont know what or whom.

    I'm saying goodbye to someone today - another sad loss.

    Are we just living to die...

  • Biker Down

    Have just found out that a mate of mine was killed on Sunday in a motorbike crash.

    Feeling completely numb and shell shocked - he was one of those guys that once you'd met him once, you felt like you'd known him for years. I actually had only known him for a few months and met about 5 times, but was always a laugh, and always on hand with a spare cigarette.

    Cant believe it.

    RIP mate - you'll be sadly missed.
