  My First Review Here is my first review, posted on AuthorsConnection.com by Anita Davison. The Pledge Katherine Hunter has brought the 16th century borderlands to all its colorful, savage life. Gillian begins the story seemingly powerless and alone, but soon she tames her husband's heart and finds love in her search for the truth about her family history. I was unable to put the book down as I cheered Gillian on in her determination to conquer her own destiny as well as the heart of the man who forced her to abandon her home. If you enjoy medieval novels and the romance of Elizabethan Scotland, you will really enjoy this story.
