Tout sur moi
Blunt were born out of the frustration and hatred of todays corrupt music industry. If you would like to book us please remember :
All those wankers calling themselves 'promotors', who peddle their promises of stardom IF you sell 100 tickets for them at a festival they are 'inviting' you to play at, can go and fuck themselves.
All the bar and club booking agents who never give a band a gig unless you guarentee 30 or more people turning up, can go and fuck themselves too.
And to all those record companies who dont give a fuck about their acts and only really give a fuck about how much money they can make from them can suck on it too.
We don't need you, our music and attitude is what we are about, and we don't give a fuck what you have to offer us. We will not have the piss taken out of us.
For us to play your venue you'll have to at least do the desent thing and offer us gas money especially if you are charging at the door ! If we like you we will probably do it for FREE

    Who are Blunt ?

We are abrupt and straight to the point with a distinct set of behavior and beliefs that differentiate ourselves from the larger culture as a whole. We are a Blunt subculture.

Ian England and Johnny F formed Blunt with the main aim of re-introducing Californian punks to long forgotten, and even rarely played, proper Old School Punk.

Johnny got on the blower and secured the services of Ringo Fandango and Ian invited Skid Mark to a rehearsal.

    Line-up:

Ian England - Born and bred in Blackburn, East Lancashire. An original English Punk from the 70's. Ex vocalist for The Boston Babies and a couple of other Punk bands back at the begining of Time. In '77 he used to get kicked out of school for not wearing the correct uniform or some other shit......and would then get his ass down to King Georges Hall and help roadies for Punk bands playing there getthe gear in for free tickets. So he's literally seen 100's of Punk bands, and many of them more than a few times. Favourite quote 'Seen it, done it, and got the preverbial fuckin t-shirt'. Second favourite quote 'It's your fuckin' round'.

Johnny F - From Stockport, Cheshire, England. As well as being part of a professional drinking team, Johnny likes to bang around on bass. This he does quite loudly and occasionally in time and or tune. Johnny has played in many a band, in fact one of his old bands was voted hardest working band in the UK, two years on the trot by Radio 1. Johnny quite often verges on the shy side of coherence, and has achieved world class recognition for incompetence, he continues to stand on those laurels.

Skid Mark - From Birmingham, yaw rite ?, England. Barred from a few pubs on Broad Street. Mark (or Skid as he was dubbed by us cunts in Blunt) hangs around in Southern California. Makes punk films. Used to play guitar for Sensa Yuma, and shoot's videos for SOS Records and a firm that sells drugs to people with bladder problems.

Ringo Fandango - Born in Coventry, Warwickshire. First learned to play drums while growing up in the good ole' U S of A, but didnt really start to know what he was really doing until the age of 16 at school in Leicester, good olde Engeeeerland. Played for several years with the notorious Skin Patrol. They evolved into One Million Fuzztone Guitars, but he left to join seminal punk-funk band Medium Medium, constantly touring the U.S. and Europe for three years before splitting up in late 1983. Joined former Medium Medium and Pop Group members in the live and recording band for U-bahnX, an Anglo-German industrial-pop band signed to EMI. Went on to record and tour Europe with innovative world music-dance band C Cat Trance.Reformed Medium Medium in late 2004 for a series of U.S. shows, with a new recording project to be released in 2008. And he's in Blunt to.

In January 2007 a mini-tour of California and Nevada was played along with The Negatives from Bradford UK, and The Objex from Las Vegas as well as some other local Los Angeles bands.

Blunt's first live performance was at the Fat Liver Tavern in Lomita, CA, and other venues played were in Downtown Los Angeles at The Airliner and at The Cocaine, along with The Brokeass Cantina and Khoury's in Long Beach, and Las Vegas's famous Double Down Saloon.

Blunt have received great feedback from punks of all ages, and have built an ever increasing fanbase in the Long Beach and Los Angeles areas.

  • Booking For 2008.

If your interested in booking a kick ass Old School Punk band please feel free to get in touch.

We will be rehearsing in January and should be all done by the end of the month.

We don't plan on doing alot of gigs next year, maybe only one or two a month. So if you'd like us to play your venue you'll have to book us early. We are booked up for Feburary, so any dates after that would be good.

    Cheers

    Blunt
