Smigga's coming along nicely and what he's learning under Buddy McGirt's tutelage is sticking!
Now with the 'English Middleweight Champion' belt in his hand, Paul can add another star to his already glowing portfolio showcasing his journey to becoming a World Champion. And he's firmly setting his sights high!
This will undoubtedly bring a newfound confidence to Paul's boxing and it's evident that he'll only get better and better and what he does.

Middleweight Fight
Paul Smith started off badly from Round 1 -3 , getting cut badly as he did in his previous fights.Cheka landed some heavy rights that connected and shook Paul up , losing abit of confidence.Paul said "this was due to the red mist that appears and I lose it badly and I basically want to go and tear everyone's head off " .He continued " Once this happens I dont fight tactically and go for a straight knockout,but it wasn't to be".
In the later rounds Paul started to fight back especially in the 7th round and used combinations stunning Cheka.Buddy McGirt who you remember was a trainer in The Contender series 3 was also in Paul's corner.Buddy was angry at Paul stating before the last round " Dont go backwards paul it looks bad ! go forwards , forwards " .Paul said " ok,ok ! " , then Buddy said " dont say ok ,ok then go out and do it !! LISTEN to what im saying OK ! " .This gave Paul a big kick up the arse as he went all out in the 8th round.The final result was down to the referee who gave the win to Paul Smith on points.No doubt Paul was annoyed at this below par perfomance but he still has something to give and no doubt will in the future.

Banks got lucky not having a rematch with smigga, but i must say, he didn't look too bad against Mcrary. The bika - codrington final was amazing, two knockdowns in the first round! wow!

Smith said so himself - he let his anger cloud his technique. he was gunning for the knockout and at times forgot that this wasn't a bar-room brawl.
Banks wasn't class enuff. but he still got (mostly) the better of Smith. another learning curve Paul
