- I don't know why I am still alive in the world today, especially as poets rarely become famous until they die. People say I look younger than I am. Sometimes I tell people jokingly that I am of the Undead, I certainly often feel as though I am only going through the motions of life, as if nothing really means very much any more.

I just want a presence here for a while, to comment on things that provoke me to write comments. I will also upload more drawings of actors soon.
Being a poet I guess I like to sit alone in the corner and write. So in a way, that's what I'm doing here. But if you like rock music, poetry, art and Nico Mirallegro, add me & send a friend request.

Nico's the youngest one I like because he has great presence on screen and naturalistic acting ability. Like Matthew Macfadyen, he has a vulnerable edge that makes him very appealing.

END OF ILLUSION

How lovely was illusion
when it used to wear his face;
like some magical collusion
between mystery and grace.
Spun from lightning, stars and thunder,
luminescent as moonlight,
with dark eyes wide with wonder
and hair as black as night.
How lovely was desire
when it used to sigh his name;
forged out of passion's fire,
too mischievous for shame.
He's a hero for our dreams
to entice us out to play;
how untouchable he seems
till they pull the ground away!
Shave the lion, chop the willow
strip the peacock of its plumes,
burn his image from the pillow,
leave us dying from the fumes;
lost in darkness and confusion,
torn from all we used to know -
please don't take away our illusion,
we love him so.

Getting through today
Hopefully going out for a Sunday roast meal today with some friends.... IF it stops raining.
I am going to listen to their chatter and hopefully it will lift me and make me forget. I won't be speaking about myself, because there is nothing left to say.

Depression and How to Deal With It
Depression has come and gone for me at various times in my life. It's a terrible thing when it strikes... it feels like a wave of disappointment, boredom, misery and disillusionment all at once, washing over you. Even as it subsides, you get an overwhelming sinking feeling, yet no matter how much you want the ground to swallow you up, relief never comes. Those miserable thoughts become like a stuck record, repeating over and over. Sometimes you don't even want to get out of bed or get dressed, but if you work, you have to get up and get on with life; pretending to your colleagues that everything is OK.
For friends on Bebo, if you ever get depressed, there are several things you can do to stop depressive thoughts going round in your mind. It's important to try to control your depression yourself, as well as talking to friends and family about it. Never bottle it up. Talk to someone, or at least write it down.
The stupidest things can trigger depression - a sad song, a sad story or TV drama... or anything that triggers memories of times in the past when you were enjoying life more than you are in the present. One important tip is that depressives should try to plan for the future rather than keep wishing to go back to the past.
And when you stop to think about it more - are you exaggerating your troubles? Does "I wish I was dead" really mean "I wish my life was better than this"? The first step is to recognize when depression is starting to take hold. The second step is to try to control or at least suppress it.
We are all here for a good reason. I have to keep telling myself that... sometimes it's all I have left.
