Taylor Lautner arms himself on the December 2009 cover of Men’s Health, on stands November 17th. Here’s what the 17-year-old Twilight star shared as the mag’s YOUNGEST cover star:

On wanting even more muscle for the third movie in the Twilight series due out in mid-2010: “My character continues to grow, so I’d like to pack on at least a few more lean pounds.”

On having to cut down his cardio to pack on the bulk: “I was exercising so hard that I began to lose weight.”

Taylor’s trainer, Jordan Yuam, says anyone can build muscle like Taylor: “Inexperience works to your advantage. The less muscle you have the easier it is to gain muscle mass more quickly.”

Jacob Black is a Native American, part of the Quileute tribe on the La Push reservation neighboring First Beach. Jacob's mother died in a car crash and his father, Billy Black is handicapped in a wheel chair. Jacob also has two sisters, Rachel and Rebecca Black. It is learned in the series that Jacob is a very talented mechanic. In the beginning of the saga, he is 15 years old.

He plays a semi-pivotal role in Twilight, being the one that originally "breaks the treaty" and tells Bella that the Cullens are vampires, although he does not believe his own tribe's legends. These legends include that his tribe is descended from wolves and that the "cold ones" are his tribe's natural born enemies. At this point in the series, Jacob has developed a small crush on Bella. Jacob appears again at the end of book at Bella's prom, advising her to break up with Edward Cullen, which his dad, Billy Black, bribed him into doing (Paying him in car parts).

In New Moon, he has a more prominent role when Edward leaves Bella, leaving Jacob to fix her wounded heart. He and Bella fix motorcycles and begin spending every day together. At this point in the saga, he is 16 years old, and growing. A lot. Jacob begins falling in love with Bella, but the feelings are not mutual...yet. (See Eclipse) By this point in the story, Jacob becomes very distanced and angry, now standing at 6'7" with a 108 degree temperature. Bella learns soon after that Jacob is acting this way because he has become a werewolf. These werewolves can transform whenever, and they do not harm people. They are "protectors" from the "cold ones" (AKA vampires), and they resemble real wolves. Jacob's wolf form is described as russet colored, about the size of the horse, and later on, shaggy (Due to the fact that it depends on hair cut, which is why by this point of the book Jacob cut his hair from being in a long pony tail to being a cropped short cut). Sweet, optimistic Jacob with the amazing smile becomes a little more temperamental when becoming a wolf. By the end of this book, Edward comes back, and the love triangle and vampire / werewolf feud is set in motion.

In Eclipse, Jacob is left betrayed by Bella, after she forgave and forgot what Edward had done and all the pain he had caused her, jumping right back into the vampire world. Jacob wouldn't take Bella's calls and said she had to choose between him and Edward, werewolf and vampire. His main concern was that Bella will be turned into a vampire, which, in his eyes, is the equivalent to her dying. Eventually, Edward let Bella see Jacob. (This is after she ran away to him twice) During this visit, Jacob misinterpreted the signals Bella was sending, forcing her into an unwanted kiss, creating a lot of tension. (But hey, Charlie was happy about it.) Later on in the story, a battle with the newborns and Victoria broke out. Prior to the battle, Bella spent a night in a tent with Jacob and Edward. Bella kept mumbling in her sleep "My Jacob", referring to the Jacob that she loved -- the one who was very optimistic and whose smile lit up the room. However, Jacob didn't interpret it quite right. This led onto him finding out that Bella was getting married and being turned into a vampire after the wedding. Right before he went out and fought the Newborn vampires, he manipulated Bella into a kiss saying if she didn't kiss him, he would go out and kill himself. During the kiss, Bella found out she was in love with Jacob too. However, after the battle, (Jacob injured himself, shattering all of his bones) Bella went over to his house, saying she chose Edward, but that she did love Jacob too, and that she had to end it with him. A few weeks later, Bella sent out wedding invitations. Jacob was so distraught that he ran off in his wolf form, letting his instincts take over. He was heart broken.
