I did see it aye. It might be pretty good but I'm not gonna get my hopes up lol.

I think if this was actually a series then we'd have a good 1 or 2 episodes of the Doctor being a selfish, power hungry dangerous man with delusions of godhood which could have explored it a bit better.

It really shows why he needs a companion because without one he's an unstable man.

I dunno likes, tends to be with time travel that if something happens then it's gonna happen anyway or a different event gets the same result with different people.

Even at that the Doctor's screwed with things before, remember the Jagrofess (spelling), he stopped that and then buggerred off leaving the Daleks free to mooch on in there.

The energy argument is fairly plausable aye but I just think a Dalek would be merciless because after all they didn't even consider failure.

Have to post this in 2 comments cos it keeps telling me invalid lol.

It should be interesting to see how it works out but i'm less than hopeful as Russell T Davies has been really declining in quality of late, since the last few episodes of season 4 and the specials have generally less than impressive.

That's just my thoughts though.

While I thought it was good I had a few problems with it.

1) Fair enough it's a fixed point in time and space but why? They didn't explain it very well, it amounted to little more than "it just is".
2) The Dalek sparing her life was utterly ridiculous. Remember the Dalek's plan was to wipe out all of reality except for them? There weren't going to be any points in time or space. Fixed of otherwise so why would the Dalek bother sparing her life? That makes no sense to me.
3) The water aliens just weren't scary or menacing. It felt like Russell T Davies was trying to do a Steven Moffat by taking an everyday thing and making it scary but not having the talent to do so.

The ending was suitably menacing, I really was frightened of the Doctor at that point, he's gone too far and got drunk with power. I dunno about the Ood Sigma appearance, it might never be properly explained.
