- I am Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-E. I was appointed captain of the Enterprise E in 2372 a year after the destruction of the Enterprise D at Veridian III, a ship I had commanded for approximately 8 years, although there were a few instances where my captaincy of the ship was relinquished but later returned.
I was born in 2305 in Labarre in France where I lived with my mother, father and brother. I worked on the vineyards but upon turning 18 I joined Starfleet Academy. I am the only remaining Picard in my family as both my parents are dead and my brother, sister in law and only nephew were killed in a fire.
- Likes
- Quoting Shakespear, fencing, Dixon Hill novels, archeology, outwitting omnipotent beings, playing the flute, dealing with moral dilemmas, Earl grey tea and of course commanding starships.
- Dislikes
- Children, being assimilated, being stabbed in the back by Nausicaans, people who disobey my orders, when my ship is destroyed and my lack of a French accent.
- Health
- I have excellent health, except for the fact that I have an artificial heart. During my Academy days I tried to cheat a Nausicaan and ended up in a fight with three of them. I remember doing quite well until one of them stabbed me. But without such an experience I certainly wouldn't be the man I am today.
- Assimilation
- I was assimilated by the Borg and was used to aide them in their attempted assimilation of Earth, however upon rescue I was able to stop the Borg attack and the Borg were defeated.
My connection with the Borg has never been truely lost though.
