      'Well were heading for the play-offs, with the score at Dunfermline 2-1 Motherwell.

      Until, with about eight or so minutes left, the situation turned on its head. Motherwell were awarded a free-kick about 25 yards from goal. In what turned out to be his final appearance, Mitchell van der Gaag rifled the ball past Ian Westwater to spark scenes of delirium around Fir Park.
