    • New York!!

      so we finally landed in new york!! it was lovely! but we were a day behind in site seeing so we started almost immediately. and it was so nice hearing the accent again. aaaah. *sigh* lol it was like the first sign i was back. the second was the warmth. all warm and tingly lol. so im not sure wat happened first or anything so i'll just blurt it all out.
      we saw the empire state building, was mucho cool, saw so much of the city. went up to the 102th floor, my sisters were so scared wen they heard thats how high it was lol but once we got up there they stole the camera and ran off taking photos.
      um.. saw the titanic exhibition, was reli cool. they giv u a replica of the actual tickets, with the name of a passenger, and @ the end u can c if ur passenger lived. mine died tho. she was a mistress to sum rich fellow.
      also saw the memorial museum for the world trade centre. my god that was emotional. i swear everybody was crying in that. very moving. they had recordings of the actual messages the firefighters had over radios. it was reli good but awful and aching @ the same time.
      did a bus tour thingie. went thru all of manhattan, saw the fashion district, stopped in chinatown (ate lunch using chopsticks. but my 11yr old sister outshined me lol), battery park, central park. macy's (is so old it has WOODEN escalators. thats how cool they are lol). um. shopped a wee bit. cant remember anything else rite now...

    • Getting There

      ok. so on the 30th we left, went to england, waited for our connection flight and then were turned away. cos appearantly americans can onli fly into the US on their american passports. but no1 tells u this. and due to the fact that blue passports with huge eagles on it make terrorist very anxious my mummy dear had chosen to use our irish passports. expensive shit man.
      so we came back to dublin, called hannah's daddy and off we went to athboy!
      why athboy again? cos we needed birth certs, death certs, marriage certs, our social security numbers and a whole lotta crap to run up to the american embassy (who v.kindly opened up just for us- props to my homies in the embassy, mr.american-accented man was very nice. i'd like to call him john.)and anyway we got emergency passports. woooo! and we were off again like a day and a bit late! but i had heard an american accent, wat more did i need??

      ok. so due to my impending 5wk long departure i think i may start using my blog as a blog. even tho i kno the likelihood is that onli hannah wil read it :L :L
      rite so. leaving tomorrow. :D for new york. :D :D currently not doin anything but talking to myself on bebo but soon must go pack. its kinda sucky cos i dunno wat the hell i'll need for 5wks but im scouty lol i can pack for anything :P and yea thats rite.:) i sed it again. 5 weeks!! :P srry. ok anywho. hannah u better read this lol
      so anyway. yea i'll miss everybody mucho mucho much, i'll try and write or email or watever wenever i can, if u, like i dunno karin mayb lol didnt giv me ur address yet, feel free to do so and i'll write u a letter. cos im old school like that. :D and yea i'll keep in touch and i'll b safe yada yada yada
