- When you think about Africa, what springs to mind?
Drought?... or progress?
Hunger?... or education?
Disease?... or opportunity?
We’re here to tell you that Africa’s story isn’t all doom and gloom – in fact, we’ve got some pretty amazing news to report.
See Africa differently: http://www.seeafricadifferently.com - About See Africa Differently
- There are lots of people and organisations – in Africa and beyond – that are busting a gut to help make Africa a better place. Every day, thousands of women in Africa take in orphans and care for them, even though they barely have enough food to eat themselves. Organisations are getting laws passed that guarantee people’s right to their land. Businesses are making sure their employees get access to free HIV tests and life-saving drugs. Shoppers round the world are buying more great-tasting fair- trade products all the time. School kids everywhere are campaigning so that African children have access to free education. Aid agencies are working with African Governments to build better health systems to fight diseases like malaria.
There is a lot still to be done but there has also been so much progress. So why not celebrate the good news! Isn’t it time we started to See Africa Differently?
