  • Who said Women Shouldn't Play Football?

Afroscots United would like to invite you all to our women’s outdoor 5-aside football tournament – “Who said Women Shouldn’t play Football?” – on Saturday 20th June 2009 at Firhill Sports Complex (11am – 4pm).

This follows on from our first women's football tournament that was successfully held at Kelvin Hall International Sports Arena in December 2008. The tournament will aim to promote diversity and gender equality by encouraging women from all backgrounds to take part. This is because we firmly believe that sport has the capacity to unlock potential and the power to bring positive social change.

So it doesn’t matter whether you are a pro, semi-pro, amateur, or have never kicked a ball in your life because the tournament will be filled with people of different abilities but all with one goal: To Make It a Fun-Filled Event.

This is not to mention the fantastic prizes we have on offer:

Winners - Trophy, medals and £100 sports vouchers
    Runners-up - Medals and £50 sports vouchers
3rd Place - Medals and £25 sports vouchers

Fancy giving it a go? Then all you need to do is get a team with a minimum of five players and contact admin@afroscotsunitedfc.com to register your team.

    Many thanks,
    Afroscots United Organising Committee
