- Am living in Daegu, South korea. I am teaching English to a bunch of (mostly) cool kids. Life is rather different here, but I can't be bothered going into detail! If you want to know, ask me.

- Ben Harper, Pete Murray, Radiohead, Third Day, Brooke Fraser, classic rock...actually anything with a good beat, great lyrics, and grand memories. Amy Winehouse is great. Many many more, but too lazy to list them.
- Films
- empire records, gone in 60 seconds, fast & the furious (1, 2 & tokyo drift), pulp fiction, amelie, jerry maguire, zoolander, pride and prejudice...the list just keeps going.
- Sports
- sadly, I don't play any...but I love rugby (go the mighty waikato!!), league, cricket is fun sometimes, netball, rally...anything with cars...
also go to the gym (not as often as i should though) - Scared Of
- snakes...on a plane..!!!! seriously though, I don't like snakes. Also of being without a decent chiropractor.

New job start date!
I start my job on the 1st of April at a school in Daegu, South Korea. I will be flying out around the 28th/29th of March. I will have a few days to settle in and then I'm straight into it.
Will be handing in my notice at telecom soon - very soon. Am VERY excited about that!

Update on Korea...
I accepted the job in Daegu today. Still no official start date, but I will start as soon as I get there (late March/very early April).
I have sorted out most of the documentation I need for my work visa but still have a couple of things to get (official sealed uni transcripts and police criminal record check!).
Will be sending the first lot of documents off tomorrow hopefully.
My car will also be fixed soon too (fingers crossed it will be ready in a couple of days!!), by a very good family friend.
As soon as it is fixed, I will be looking to get her valued and all fixed up ready for sale! I'm looking forward to not having to worry about that car anymore - no more loan payments and no more car sitting arund unable to be driven!
Once my baby is sold, I will be booking my ticket, handing in my notice at telecom, organising my leaving party and move out of flat date.
I'm getting a bit nervous now that everything is falling into place, but it's going to be an awesome time once I get there.
Am now on the lookout for things I will need when I go. Things like a suitcase to take my belongings (it was suggested to me I use one of those red/pink and blue canvas bags that will fall apart after one use! Thankfully the person who suggested it was joking!), decent pants to wear to class (can't really wear jeans I don't think!), and a few other things.
I'm also going to be seeling heaps of my stuff (tv, bed, vcr, bookcase etc). Will be good to get rid of them and not have to worry about them!
Not a lot more to update at this stage. Will put moreblurb up when I have more to talk about!

Big changes...
Well, I am off to Korea in a few months time. I will be there for a year teaching English to kids between 4-14yrs old. It should be interesting.
Since deciding to go and do this (about 2 weeks ago!), I have emailed a recruitment agency, sent them my CV, looked at a job, had an interview (last night) and now I have the contract, ready and waiting to be signed!
I can't believe I'm actually going to do it - it's pretty exciting stuff. I'm just about bouncing off the walls!
I have a lot to organise before I go; like my work visa, fixing and selling my car (finally!!!) and leaving telecom (FINALLY!!!!!).
So now, the countdown begins! I don't have a fixed departure date as yet, but I will be in Korea in April sometime.
Less than 4 months to go!
I will be having a leaving party of some description no doubt. Will keep everyone posted on when this is.
