Tout sur moi: Meon Pooj was born in New Jersey, though lived in the small town of Pearl River, New York. He is now a young (teenage) artist who is known for singing over popular songs. When he was moved to Charlotte Vermont, at the age of nine, he sang over songs, which were later called “sing-overs”. After another house in Manchester Vermont, then of to Richmond Virginia, he currently records in his own bedroom in Reason and Record. Pooj made a painful transition from sing-overs to actually making his own music, electronica and indie. He names his biggest influences as Guster, Daft Punk, Radiohead, Gogol Bordello, and many others. His work is solo, unless a fellow felt like coming to Pooj and record for fun. He now has 6 LPs released, excluding all of the sing-overs, including the most recent “Surviving Y2K”. More can be known about Meon at http://www.meonpooj.com
