NEW MOON CAST AND DIRECTOR SPEAK UP

The HD Room has a new article in which the new moon cast and director discuss the film.

"It's impossible to be completely faithful to every single page of a book because movies don't have enough time. So you end up cutting things and combining things. But I would say that we’re definitely using the book as our bible. My take on this film is the film is the book and Stephanie Mayer is my main resource for everything in this. I'm constantly checking with her to see if it's something a character would do or a detail is right. You can never absolutely please everybody but my main intention is to satisfy the fans of the book."

Are there differences in your preparation to play Edward?

I feel very familiar with the character. I’m a ghost, a figment of Bella’s imagination. I’m not really playing Edward. I’m playing a kind of disrupted memory, which is really strange. I’m trying to play him as if Edward’s constantly thinking that things are going to fall apart. It’s this idyllic relationship on the top. I’m very, very close to the surface. He’s so insecure about everything.

CAM GIGANDET WILL PLAY A VAMPIRE AGAIN

Cam Gigandet is set to act in another vampire film!

Gigandet will be playing vampire sheriff in the movie 'Priest,' trade publication The Hollywood Reporter reports.

Based on the TokyoPop comic book, the movie is set in a turbulent time period, ravaged by wars between vampires and humans. The film follows a priest (Paul Bettany) who rebels against the church to avenge a group of murderous vampires who have kidnapped his niece. Gigandet's character helps the priest because he is in love with his niece.

E Online was REALLY lucky enough to take a look-see at the seating chart for the MTV Movie Awards that are taking place on Sunday!

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will be the two hottest stars at Sunday's MTV Movie Awards.

All ya gotta do is look at the seating chart to know that. I got a peek earlier today.

Pattz and Stewart are, of course, sittin' next to each other in the front row. Expect them to get plenty of camera time during the whole shebang, which will be telecast live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City.

Taylor Lautner is a couple of rows behind them. Is Selena Gomez next to him? Another unknown. Off to the side and few rows back are other Twilighters like Kellan Lutz and Cam Gigandet.

How’s the energy on ‘New Moon’ compared to ‘Twilight,’ because for ‘Twilight’ no one was sure if it was going to do well and now, obviously …

Yeah, it’s scary. It’s a very, very different experience. Last time we were just kind of … it was so easy to get the entire cast together. We’d all have dinner almost every day and be able to talk about it freely and stuff. Now it’s quite difficult to even leave the hotel. And all these random little stories become someway, somehow newsworthy, so you have to be very secretive about everything. Even if you want to just clarify something in the script or something. It’s just strange. It’s just very different … It’s very strange when you’re aware of being observed, I guess.

NEW MOON: MOVIE THEATER SET PHOTOS


Vancityallie has photos from the set of New Moon last night. Kristen Stewart, Anna Kendrick, Mike Welch, and Taylor Lautner were all on set filming exterior shots of their scenes at the movie theater.

They are filming all the exterior shots at this theatre. Again, two scenes happen here… one where Bella and Jessica go to Port Angeles for a movie, and a second scene where Bella, Mike, and Jacob have that awkward movie date with that scary movie, “The Dead Come Back.”

About.com interviewed Peter Facinelli about what scenes they've filmed for New Moon so far.

Where are you so far?

Peter Facinelli: "Well, nothing's shot in order but we've shot the…let's see…the birthday scene. We've shot that. And we've shot the voting scene. I'm not going to tell you what we all voted, but read the book. What else did we shoot? I shot stitching up Bella which was a lovely little scene. I pretty much mostly almost finished. I have a couple other shots to do in May and then we're done."

As for what’s happening on set of New Moon today – continuing to shoot break up and Bella losing it and some scenes with Bella and Jacob in her room. Tomorrow, it’s a movie theatre and an Edward apparition and a motorcycle or something.
