A Chairde we have just came back from our weekend tour of Glasgow, Belfast and Free Derry. We started out at 6.30am on Friday Morn with Ourselves and 3 Shams Mark Maguire, Budgie Behan and Jason Lambert in Our New Band Wagon with "The Druids" Irish Rebel Band in Green White and Gold. We arrived in Glasgow at The Famous BRAZEN HEAD Pub at 4pm, we were greeted by the Staff and some Celtic Supporters. We set up the Gear and Got a Soundcheck, We then went to Our Hotel and Got some Food and the Nerves and Addrenalin were on Over Drive to be Honest. Then The Time Came For to go back Down To The Brazen Head. When we walked in the door we were Astonished with the Crowd that had gathered. People came Up to us and Introduced themselves. Most of Them were from Bebo to name but a Few KEVIN DOYLE, GARRY HAMILTON, BRIGET Mc KAY, JAMIE BHOY and LIAM BHOY. Also the Gang that Travelled From Johnstown Bridge, Enfield, Kilmeague and Tipperary, Thanks a Million. Also LEE THOMSON From Dunfermline that Paddy Worked with in Dublin 10Years ago came along to see us..
Then 9pm came and It was time to Get up on the Stage and Do what we were there to do, We Started with our 3Song Melody "Let The People Sing" "Take It Down From The Mast" and " This Land is Your Land", From The Very 1st Line the Crowd was Joining in with us, This was great. Then the Most Memoriable Part of The Nite came when we sang our own 2 Songs "1981" and "Vol Ed o' Brien". We were amazed that a Group of lads and Girls were singing along to them, at the end we were talking to them, they had seen the Songs on Youtube they were from Paisley.
Then we got a Request to do The Dying Rebel, Paddy Started singing it and just as he was starting the Last Verse we got a Signal From The Barman That The Peelers had walked in the Door, We were warned that if they appeared we would have to stop and sing something other than a Rebel Song to Avoid Trouble From Them. They Stayed For bout 15Mins and We Got The REBEL Songs goin again, what a Nite we had, we will be back soon a chairde..
Saturday Morn we went down to See Gary Og before we went to get the Ferry, there was a great atmosphere, pity we couldnt stay Longer. When we got to Belfast we went to a G.A.A Club with Gary's Inlaws, we then went back to the House where Frank had Prepared a Meal for us and we were entertained by the One and Only Budgie Behan he had us in Stitches telling us stories about things that happened to him over the years ha. We want to Thank The Dickey Family for their Hospitality in the Time We spent Their when ever in Belfast.
Then Sunday Morning Came and It was time To get set for heading to Play in Free Derry, We arrived at The Dungloe Bar and Once again were greeted with a Cead Mile Failte by Jim and His Staff, we were giving our Food and Digs for the Nite, this meant alot to us to be Welcomed like that to Derry.
The Gig was Amazing and the Crowd were with us from the very start, cant wait to return back here a chairde..
