- .. HandicappedPets.com was created by Mark C. Robinson in 2001 to support the caretakers of Elderly, Disabled, and Handicapped Pets. The site was created in memory of Mercedes, a slightly epileptic Keeshound who was put to sleep before her time because Mark didn't know any better and had no way to find out more. So now he's created a way to find out more and, if you choose life for your best friend, We've found the products, services, and support you'll need.

Jenna Needs a Lift - The Handicapped Pets Foundation
Jenna, a lovely Great Dane, has been a cherished member of her family since she was a puppy. Now, as a mature 12-year old girl she can no longer get up and moving on her own. Her owners have recently resorted to assisting her with a walking harness, but at 110 pounds, Jenna is quite a bit to lift. She really needs a dog wheelchair so that she can regain her mobility and take the physical strain off her owners. Jenna's rear legs have gotten so weak that she cannot even stand on them long enough to eat her meals.
Her family is struggling in this economy and is barely able to make ends meet with part-time employment. Please consider making a contribution to get Jenna back on her feet so that she can continue to enjoy life and get much needed exercise.
Thanks to the support of a very generous donor to the Handicapped Pets Foundation, the first $200 contributed towards Jenna's wheelchair will be matched dollar for dollar! Your contribution to Jenna will be twice as meaningful!
You may make a contribution at http://hpets.org/pets-who-need-help/... Please reference "Jenna" in the purpose line of the online form. If you would prefer to make your contribution by mail, please send a check made payable to Handicapped Pets Foundation, 14 Veterans Road, #22, Amherst, NH 03031. Thank you in advance for your generous support of Jenna!0 Comments 11 days

The Handicapped Pets Foundation Challenge
The Handicapped Pets Foundation has received a very generous challenge. An anonymous donor has agreed to match dollar for dollar the first $200.00 (two hundred dollars) contributed to each of the pets in need currently listed on its website at http://www.hpets.org/. This supporter is a fellow animal lover who cares deeply for pets and the people who love them. She has issued this challenge in an effort to get more pets back on their feet as quickly as possible.
Your support will directly benefit a dog like Wishbone who is pictured above. Wishbone was surrendered to an animal shelter as a puppy along with his littermates. He was the last one to be adopted because he was missing his rear feet.
Please make your donation count twice by making a contribution to Venus, Wishbone, Shadow, Trax, Jenna or Seri. You may designate your contribution on the online donation form by indicating the pet's name in the purpose line. Thank you in advance for your support!
Donations received in the name of a particular pet will be directed to him or her until the level of support required to fully sponsor that animal is reached. Should donations beyond the level of support required to sponsor a particular pet be received in his or her name, those contributions will be directed to others that have been approved into the program. The Foundation makes every attempt to remove a pet in need from this listing as soon as the level of support required is reached.

Seri Seeks Wheels to Walk Again
Seri, a beautiful domestic longhair cat, was adopted from the local humane society. Seri had been found abandoned in a garage as a kitten. She had suffered an injury to her rear legs and nearly died from her ordeal. Seri is not able to use her rear legs, but she has very strong front legs that would be able to move her along in a wheelchair.
Seri's owners are experiencing severe financial difficulties and have turned to the Handicapped Pets Foundation for assistance. Please consider making a donation in support of Seri so that she can experience full mobility and enjoy life with her adoptive family.
Thanks to the support of a very generous donor to the Handicapped Pets Foundation, the first $200 contributed towards Seri's wheelchair will be matched dollar for dollar! Your contribution to Seri will be twice as meaningful!
You may make a contribution online at http://www.hpets.org/make-a-donation.... Please reference "Seri" in the purpose line of the online form. If you would prefer to make your contribution by mail, please send a check made payable to Handicapped Pets Foundation, 14 Veterans Road, #22, Amherst, NH 03031. Thank you in advance for your generous support of Seri!
