- I spent 3 weeks in Senegal just after Christmas.I had prepared myself mentally before I went there but no matter how prepared you are you cant escape getting a shock when you first arrive there.It's the most beautiful place with beautiful people. When I first arrived at the airport,it was pitch black outside and the lighting was very dim on the streets, you can hardly see anything and the people are so black you can hardly see them either. When I got in the car I thought I was gonna die cause the people drive so fast, it's bumper to bumper at break-neck speed, and trying to avoid potholes, my heart nearly jumped out of my chest. After that night I had began to realise that if it had been a European person driving I definitely wouldn't have survived cause although there is not great regulation in the traffic there, they are accustomed to it.A white person could easily kill a few people driving over there cause people are pitch black, all you an see is their runners crossing the road..

- Lauren Hill, I love with Pharrell Williams all his own music, his music with NERD and the music he has produced with The Neptunes. India Arie is brilliant cos of her acoustic/creative/soulful music, I love Erykah Badu cause her jazzy unusual voice and bizarre style. I was in Senegal recently and learned to dance the Malach and fell in love with Senegal music so I love Youssou Ndour. Malch music almost has a drum 'n' bass pace to it so it can get very energetic and then slow down and the speed up again. I'm really into LCD Soundsystem at the moment and i like Justice as well. Asian Dub Foundation have some deadly tunes. I love my Prince and Wacko Jacko as well. Mos Def is just HOT, he looks like a wolf, but a hot wolf.

- When I'm travelling but i do love my aul nights out as well. I love meeting new people especially people from differents parts of the world, and if they're from a particularly remote area in the world they'll usually have fascinating stories to tell either about their culture or their lives. I think one of the most interesting people i've met was a child soldier and i know i'll never forget his story, and i have one of his beautiful paintings above the fireplace at home.
I like listening to music from all over the world like Caribbean music, Cuban salsa music, Brazilian samba/jazz music, Angolan music, Spanish music.... I think travelling has definitely influenced the style of music i listen to now. - Weird Experiences
- I held hands with a monkey(and i gave a peck on the check, his face had a weird leathery feel to it) when I was in Senegal, a Baboon threw shit at me! And I fed a strange lookin' animal with massive horns and teeth....
