- Established in December 2008, "Raised to the Ground" are a 4 piece Metalcore band from the Irish midlands. Not deterred by the stigma of the genre, RTTG bring their own individual influences to the table to create a fusion of Heavy Ass Metal.
Formed when the 3 remaining members from their previous band "Reaper"; Sean, Eanna and Padraig invited Vocalist/Guitarist Conan into the group and "Raised to the Ground" was born...
They quickly established themselves as one of the up and coming Irish metal acts in their local scene playing their first few gigs with the likes of Hardcore Kings Roper, Doom Lords Five Will Die and Thrash Masters Soloway.
The recent signing to Death Cap Records UK for the distribution of their upcoming debut E.P "Risen From The Ashes" opens new doors of opportunity for the band and with UK dates immanent in the wake of the release, things can only get better for this young quartet...

Update 15/04/09 - First Day in studio!!
Hey guys!
RTTG here from the sitting room of Data Recording Studios!!
First day of recording in the bag and we've gotten a lot done!! More than expected and let me tell you - shit is sounding good!!
We started off the day with Sean setting up drums and sorting out some sexy mic placements. After setting up guide tracks to a click, our resident sticks man laid waste to the kit hammering out beat after beat of fist pumping metal! The crisp, clear bass drum sounds sounded tight as fuck and will be pushed up in the mix as far as possible!!
Next came the bass tracks! Up got Padraig and coasted thorough his lines adding to the foundation that was that of the drums.
We also suprisingly got rhythm guitars down today aswell! The tones we were getting were sick and triplets rang out with clarity galloping through the tracks helped along by the double-kick.
Listening back to the four tracks as they were today just reignited out excitement to get it finished, mixed, mastered and out there for all you guys!!
Tomorrow we tackle the second guitar tracks and vocals. Mixing will then commence and should be completed by Friday, unless there are any changes we'd like to make..
Then it's off to Tower Studio in France where engineer Brett Caldas-Lima has the task of mastering the tracks so they'll be cd quality and ready to be shipped out!!
Hopefully everything will run smoothly into each other and we'll have these cds out there for you fuckers by mid-May (end of May at the latest).
