Time slipped away and I began to wonder where I've been for such a long time.

Wrestling and talking with "wisdom" about my life, and in a moment, I was swept away.. past time, space, place and style..

Wisdom spoke and I sat down for a while to take in the excerpts that begin to piece together my fragmented life...and as wisdom spoke, I was consumed, and captivated by its knowledge of my life. I wanted to hear more; and wanting to hear specifically about the sentence I've placed upon my own life.

Then the pardon of wisdom beckoned to unlock the ancient doors that held me nestled in time, with old scarred locks, deep, rust-ridden doors, locked by strong chains of dispair, doubt, helplessness and fear...

Wisdom spoke about the keys that would release me from cyclical and random barriers of thought that ensnared me ....for even when there was a glimmer of a chance to hope for freedom, my soul would cower, whining under the weight of each conditioned chain, tugging me back into obeisance, into a tormented and hopeless quiet. Yet, rebelliously my soul cried out against its tormentors and...

Wisdom spoke a third time, and I heard clearly, "CRACK", ..it was the sound of the lock, like steel clanging slowly, then the pace quickened, and the lock unhinged! "SNAP"...and then "CRASH"...I heard the loud metallic bang of a door hitting the wall, ...announcing freedom.

The keys of wisdom obliterated the lock and now I am free! I am free to run, to move, to breathe, to hope, to love, to be loved and ...I can finally...now live!

Above my head, as I run down the darkened corridors, toward my first glimpse of light, I begin to hear music. I've never heard such a sound like this before, which caused me to quicken my pace, with long strides towards the opening that led to my freedom.

The music kept getting louder and louder, as I ran faster and faster, almost falling, ...I regained my stride and finally sprinted through the opening....hoping to see what I have heard...this sound of music that pierced my very being.

I enter the light of freedom and begin to dance to the music, dancing amidst its melodies, and now it feels as if I can fly...fly like the nestlings at springtime. It has discovered its wings, and now having so much sky, ...so much sky to soar in, ...it understands it's reason for being born.. to fly, ...and it does what it was created to do....soar!

I can now soar with my new wings of freedom, ...many places untapped, where I can fly free, now...I can fly free, because time has slipped away, once again.

I opened my eyes, and I see our worship team, as they sang the words, "My chains are gone, I've been set free...",(Chris Tomlin), ...my tears are uncontrollably running down my face. I stand to lift my hands to the Lord in full and complete surrender. The words of wisdom that my pastor had just preached had penetrated the darkness of my life. This is my day of freedom!

The next morning, in my own quiet moments...wisdom speaks again, and I listen and I'm carried away anew, ... to it's new God-inpsired destinations.
