Summer show...
You know how things that are really, really, really cool are so really, really, really cool that they don’t even need a name?
.......of course you know! Well, that’s us now! Nameless greatness.
DkITalk will be back in September (I know, it’s gonna be tough letting go) so for the next while Ros and I will be taking over the hour. Now don’t misinterpret, it’ll still be the same inane chatter and rambling segue ways, but at least we’ll be playing better music. We hope. Oh, and we’re on at 9pm now.
Here’s the playlist for our first show. Short but pretty sweet.

Hola....or hollaaa,
This week, if DkITalk had been some sort of internet social networking site, our initial mood would have been described as: blegh. Luckily our bleghness soon passed in favour of: idiotic with a hint of hysteria.
Blegh adj. 1. bored, discontented 2. unimpressed, unconvinced 3. boring 4. stupid Bleghness (n.) state of feeling blegh.
Why this strange despondent mood you ask? Who knows? Could be college, usually it gets a bit blegh round this time of year...could be that DkITalk is nearing its final curtain....maybe we’re still bummed out about that dead cat from last week. It’s a mystery.
But we didn’t dwell, and soon we’d moved on to more important issues, namely the swine flu, prison, and Gandhi. As always we treated such serious topics with the gravitas and respect they deserve.
Jedi Mind Trick:
You didn’t hear any cursing on this pre-watershed show. None at all. Now make me a sandwich.

Word mix-up hilarity (here at DkITalk we’re all about prose over hos). This week: academic vs. epidemic

Speaking of profound, we pondered some highly weighty and (let’s hope) extremely unlikely hypothetical situations.

Hey homeslices,
Where to begin.....hmmm...I know!! With the little revelation that DkITalk is now an award winning radio show!!
No, don’t fret, you haven’t woken up in some sort of Bizarro world where disposable income is plentiful, reality tv is meaningful and Bono isn’t insufferable. We actually did win an award. But far be it from us to gloat and revel so I will move swiftly on....
.....
So, after facing something of a moral dilemma on our way to the studio (RIP nameless cat) we finally arrived for one of the last shows of the year. Please, save your tears. Olivia was MIA this week adding fuel to the rumours that have been setting the internet ablaze this week – you know the ones; about the painkiller addiction, the secret pregnancy, the organic food market...right? No...
Anyway, this week’s show –
-‘His Humbleness’ Iarla manages to make even Fight Like Apes look uncool.
-My strange detachment from reality – phone number what now? BBQ what now?
-In the game of language we did some Wordplay!! .....nice.
We also further laid out our plans for The Great Rodcaster College Infiltration. ...but that’s supposed to be a secret.

Though it may be easier at times, please, don’t always go for the obvious joke. It’s not always the funniest.
