my labour and delivery story
20th october 2009 came around and went and there was still no sighn of oscar making an entrance
so that morning i saw my midwife who booked me in at the hospital to see a consultant to talk about if i can be induced.
so friday 23rd october came around at 10.00am i went to my appointment to see the consultant he asked the midwife to do an examination to check my cervix and to do a stretch and sweep so she did then we spoke more about when i could be induced he got the booking book and booked me in for the next day which me and danny and my mum was soo happy about
knowing that the next day we maybe meeting our bundle of joy .
saturday 24th october..i was due to go into hosital at 3.30pm to be started off but at 8.00am i had a phone call from the hospital saying there was a bed free for me if i wanted to come in as soon as possible to be started off more early so i said yes after getting off the phone i jumped off the sofa and was nilly crying so i told my mum then rand and told danny we was so happy so we got our bags ready and off we went the the hospital.
At 10.00am we arrived at the hospital and made our way up to hazel ward where i was shown to my bed .. i was then put on the monitor for half hour then i was examined then had my first lot of prostein gel.. it felt so horrible but started to work within 5minutes i was then on the monitor for an hour just to make sure oscar was copin fine wich he was .
at 12.00am i was told i could got for a walk and try get thing's moving so me mum and danny decided to take a long walk around the whole hospital starting from 4th floor down to ground we did this about 5times
..
about 3.00pm i was examined again and was still 1cm and was put on the monit for 15minutes then was let off to go for another walk so off we went again.
At 6.00pm i was examined again and still 1cm and then was given some more prostein gel then spent another hour on the monitor...by this point i was getting abit upset that nothing was really happening and to make it worse the girl opposite me her water's broke.
At 8.00pm my mum and danny were told they had to leave but because how upset i was they could stay till 11.00pm so at 11.00pm they left and stayed at my nan's which was down the road just incase i went into labour.. i was woken at 4.00am by a girl going into labour made it more worse
sunday 25th october..6.00am i was woken up by the midwife to be examined so wasnt impressed one bit she then told me i was 2cm so she said my water's could be broken so she rang down to delivery they said yeah come on down so i got my stuff ready and my mum and dan were on there way back to the hospital then 10minutes later i was told no i couldnt come down as my cervix wasnt thin enough so i had another lot f gel put in which was soo uncomfty
i was examined about 3times that day and was having constant contractions with nothing happening and spent most of sunday crying as was soo tired and sore by now my sister came up and cheered me up which helped...then before my mum and danny left to go to my nans for the night we spoke to the night midwife about what to take to help me sleep and the midwife tried forching me to have the pethidine injection :@ but ended up having two pain killers and a sleeping tablet and gosh it worked sleeped like a baby
monday 26th october .. woke up at 6.00am thinking here we go again il be examined then told nope you need more gel but to my surprise i woke up at 7.00am with a midwife saying i wasnt being examined by a midwife i had to wait ill 9.00am for a doctor to examine me and shel decide if my water's could be broken ..so i rang my mum straight away and me mum and dan came straight to the hospital only one person was allowed to see me so dan let my mum in.... at 9.10am i was examined by the doctor then to my surprise she looked at me and said she cold reach my sack of water's and said yes i could have my water's broken i was soo happy i wanted to cry so

♥14.02.09 was the day me and danny found out we was gonna be parents.
we were so happy but scared.
♥07.04.09 was the first time we got to see our little baby it was the best thing in the world seein your little face and arms and well we could just make out you had legs .
♥09.06.09 was the day we saw you son for the second time yes we found out we was going to be two very proud parents to a little boy we had the biggest grins on our faces.
you were one stubbern baby not wanting to move for mummy after all the things i had to do to make you move s we could get a picture of your face.
it was the second best thing to see you even gave us a wave

♥02.08.09finally reached 29weeks pregnant well on tuesday 04.08.09 only 11weeks till your here baby boy mummy&Daddy &nanny cant wait to meet you gawjus.
we are just so proud of you we thought we almost lost you but your holding on in there just showing your as strong as your daddy
only got 11 weeks till your here just before Daddys Birthday and Nannys..
