i love
strandhill on a sunny summer day off, when theres lots of stars at night, drinking with a few good friends, the strandhill, dublin and old school girlys and boys, smoothies, peep show, a good rough towel, crisps, popcorn and crisps together, basically food in general. when i dont have to get the train on my own, when i have a good book, when friends, sex in the city, food programmes or david attenborough are on tv, when i have lotsa money, when the ducks are in the pond behind my house, when im listening to good music, my friends, my family and the fur children.

people who refer to the 31 counties of ireland that are not dublin as 'the country, when u put on socks and then walk in something wet ;/, when u drop a shampoo bottle on ur foot in the shower... when i have to use lexis nexis, when people wont wear their seatbelt, when people litter, when people tell me to relax/ chillout/ chillax/ calm down etc, when people wear real fur, when people write lol, when mark stamps on snails even though i tell him not to, when people are rude, when cold water goes down your sleeve when you're brushing your teeth, when angry job-hating dublin bus drivers close the doors in your face even though they SO seen you running like a gobshite- on your own.

      the paradox of our time in history is that we have taller bulidings but shorter tempers, wider roads but narrower viewpoints. we spend more, we have less, we buy more but enjoy less. we have more concveniences but less time. more experts, yet more problems.

      we drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, drive too fast, get too angry, get up too tired, read too little, watch tv too much. we have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. we talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

      weve learned how to make a living but not a life.
      weve added years to life, but not life to years.
      weve conquered outer space but not inner space. weve done larger things but not better things.

      these are the times of fast foods and slow digestion.
      big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. these are the days of quick trips, disposable nappies, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer to quiet, to kill.

      it is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom.
      a time when technology can bring this letter to u, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight or not.
