- In the not-too-distant future, vampires have come out of the coffin. Thanks to the invention of mass-produced synthetic blood, vampires no longer need humans for their fix and can walk freely, if not yet comfortably, among their living counterparts – though they can still come out only at night.
Meanwhile, in the backwoods Louisiana town of Bon Temps, Sookie Stackhouse works as a waitress at the down-home bar Merlotte’s. Though outwardly normal, she has unusual qualities of her own: Sookie can read minds, which complicates her world in endless ways. But Sookie’s life becomes a lot more interesting when Merlotte’s gets its first vampire patron – the 173-year-old Bill Compton – and the two outsiders are immediately drawn to each other
Other cast regulars on TRUE BLOOD include Ryan Kwanten (“Summerland”) as Sookie’s brother Jason, whose womanizing makes him the prime suspect in a gruesome murder case; Rutina Wesley (“How She Move”) as Sookie’s best friend Tara Thornton, whose outspoken ways constantly get her into trouble; Sam Trammell (“Judging Amy”) as Sookie’s good-hearted boss Sam Merlotte, who carries a torch for her; Nelsan Ellis (“The Inside”) as Lafayette Reynolds, a cook at Merlotte’s, whose personal life is as colorful as his wardrobe; Chris Bauer (HBO’s “The Wire”) as Detective Andy Bellefleur; Jim Parrack (“Criminal Minds”) as Hoyt Fortenberry, one of Jason Stackhouse’s co-workers on a road construction crew; Carrie Preston (“Law & Order: Criminal Intent”) as Sookie’s fellow waitress Arlene Fowler; Michael Raymond James (“Black Snake Moan”) as Rene Lenier, another one of Jason’s co-workers; William Sanderson (HBO’s “Deadwood”) as Sheriff Bud Dearborne; and Alexander Skarsgård (HBO’s “Generation Kill”) as Eric, a Nordic vampire.
Also appearing in TRUE BLOOD are Lois Smith (“Hollywoodland”) as Sookie’s grandmother Adele, who shares her fascination with vampires; Lizzy Kaplan (“Cloverfield”) as Amy Burley, the new girl in town who falls for Jason; Lynn Collins (“The Number 23”) as Dawn Green, a waitress who has an on-again, off-again relationship with Sookie’s brother; Kristin Bauer (“Dirty Sexy Money”) as Eric’s cohort Pam, who helps run a vampire bar; and Stephen Root (“No Country for Old Men”) as Eddie, a neophyte vampire.

V DO YOU CRAVE IT?
V is the latest drug and humans addicted to it become anything from healthy to addicts that crave the power in the blood of vampires. It allows them to see the world through the eyes of a vampire and the sex is all felt without sexual contact. You see the colors of the air, can go dancing and playing in the rain all the while your body experiences things that shooting, drinking or snorting V allows. It's highly addictive, hard to get and will get you killed if the vampires find out you killed one of them and drained it's blood for your pleasure. The vampires are restrained by silver this weakens them enabling them to fight back. Sookie Stackhouse the resident telepath over hears two scumbags at Merlotte's planning on killing Bill Compton a socialized vampire who just wants to exist according to the laws given to them. When he is ambushed, wrapped in sterling silver chains burning his flesh while the two V addicts have two IV lines one in each arm draining Bill of his blood. Sookie sneaks up hitting one with a heavy chain and pulling a knife on the female cohort. They drive off vowing revenge against Sookie and nearly kill her but Bill saves her life then covers up the bodies. Reports state an errant tornado flipped their trailer killing them but tornado's bounce they don't just go in a straight pattern Sookie was later informed by the police. She just smiled and said "Well Sheriff with all this talk of global warming..maybe it changing how tornado's act."
But the flip side to V is it's also a potent aphrodisiac to the vampire when it's blood is being sucked by a willing partner. Sookie finds this out the first time she's drinks from Bill the affect drinking his blood has on him. The reason for her consumption of his blood was she was nearly killed when the two people from the other night came back for her. Her brother Jason the towns man slut with a good heart and intentions but not much gray matter going on upstairs addiction becomes so bad that he goes to the vampire bar Fangtasia hoping to find a source for V. He encounters Amy a vegan V taker who sees it as a way of speaking to and being with Goddess. Amy talks Jason into kidnapping Eddie a new vampire and Layette's lover (well one of them) and his supplier of V. Jason bonds with Eddie and doesn't like the fact that he's being held by them against his will. As Eddie weakens from lack of Tru-Blood and being fasten to a metal lawn chair. When Jason goes to free Eddie from his bondage Amy stakes him in the heart killing him and angering Jason. He wants her out of his life though he truly loves her and doesn't want to take V any longer. While he's at work Amy makes him a southern banquet and they make up. He's upset when she asks to close the circle by doing V one last time as the first time they were together they were on V. He agrees and while they're in V heaven Amy is strangled to death by a killer who seeks out women who sleep with vampires aka Fangbangers.0 Comments 232 weeks

Sookie Stackhouse waitress at the local watering hole Merlotte's run by the enigmatic Sam Merlotte. The pair of them live in a small town Bon Ton's in Louisiana and they also share special secrets. Sookie's a telepath and Sam's a shape shifter. One night Sookie goes out to take the trash and see's two rednecks trying to kidnap Bill for his blood which is a powerful drug for humans. Once she saved Bill and nearly lost her life in doing so the fire between them was lit. Jason Stackhouse is a hunk with a heart but not much brain power going for him. Hes driven by his desires one of them is V(vampire blood) he becomes addicted and whores around with any woman who'll have him while Tara secretly holds a childhood crush on him. Woman around Jason and people in general begin dying and everyone thinks it's him but he's not the killer just a patsy. Tara is an emotional fire cracker but you really can't blame her seeing as her mother's been a drunk for most of her young life and is now fear of the demon that compelled her mother Lette Mae to drink.There are plenty of people who do not see the vampire comunity as citizens but they have fought for their rights and continue to do so. During an emotional time Tara turned to Sam for comfort and the two of them begin a dysfunctional relationship as Tara is always angry and doesn't let people get too close and Sam's a private man who doesn't readily open up. Now the term 'Fang Banger' is for humans who seek out vampires for sex etc. It's not a very endearing term and the people are looked down upon..0 Comments 235 weeks
