- Tutto su di me
- Hotscots FC is a vibrant organisation, set up to encourage more LGBT men and women to play football.
Hotscots FC are a member of the GFSN national league, and are competing in a number of gay friendly tournaments, as well as playing local sides in Edinburgh. Hotscots won the Fitlads Cup in April 2008, defeating the 2008 gay league champions London Falcons over two legs. They were to retain the title in 2009, by thumping the Falcons 7(seven) - 1.
In 2009, the team made history by winning the GFSN cup at the Kingsfield stadium in Woking against GFC Bournemouth, with a single goal enough to bring the trophy home to Edinburgh.
We are looking for more players and more fans to join us, so why not get in touch. We hold regular kickabouts and social events alongside our competitive matches, and people of all abilities or ages are welcome. Just get in touch through this profile, or visit www.hotscotsfc.com for more details

Sunday 25th January - Hotscots v London Titans, GFSN cup Quarter final
Campbell Park, 1pm kick off
Hotscots should be back to full strength awaiting the visit of our friends from London. The Titans had a poor start to the season, including a 4-2 defeat by Hotscots at Old Deer Park in Richmond. However they have seen an increase in recent form, having won their last 2 league games.
Hotscots on the other hand have also seen a return to form of sorts, with 2 heavy victories against a local side, and then the London Leftfooters, and looked like they would have got a result against Nottingham if the game had gone the full 90 minutes.
An intriguing tie indeed

Nottingham game abandoned
Well high drama and high winds at Campbell park as the GFSN league clash between Hotscots and league leaders Nottingham decended into a farce, with the game abandoned with 57 minutes gone. Nottingham went into the break 3-0 up, with the winds and sleet at their backs giving them extra assistance. The scoreline could have been worse if the Ballbois had converted their 5th minute penalty, but found the keeper in good form.
Referee Peter Rowan spoke to the captains of both sides at half time offering abandonment, however the Notts players were very keen to play on. 3-0 up they fancied their chances...plus, if at 70 minutes they were still winning, they knew they could push for abandonment and have the score stand.
Well the grand plan seemed to come undone for our English cousins as they sounded the retreat akin to Bannockburn when an enraged Hotscots side came out after half time and successfully pinned the Midlands side in their own half. A goal arrived on 57 minutes with the constant Hotscots pressure having paid off. Almost immediately several Nottingham players surrounded the referee, asking for the abandonment they had refused only 12 minutes earlier.
Seems like they hadn't counted on a real Scottish storm. Rematch details to be announced, keep an eye out for it, it's sure to be a real blood and guts encounter

Sunday 11th January. Hotscots V Nottingham
Well D-Day is upon us. Nottingham Ballbois come to town with a perfect 4 wins out of 4. Hotscots however have recovered from their recent poor league form, with a 9-0 drubbing of London Leftfooters and a 10-1 victory in a friendly against Broughton Star.
The squad have been training hard in preparation for the game, and there is no doubt that this is the most vital match of the season so far. A win would give us 9 points out of 15, and possibly re-ignite a late title charge. Defeat would mean we drop into the bottom half of the table in the GFSN.
Game kicks off at Campbell Park, Colinton, Edinburgh at 1pm. Everyone welcome to attend and get behind the team.
Result and match report will appear here afterwards.
Let the lion roar
