• Hairspray

  I love this movie and I was interested to hear that it was a copy of the original of 1988. I think I will have to watch the original now. I love the lead boys in the modern version.
  
  Hairspray (2007) is a fantastic movie, mixing the romanticized version of the 1960's white community with the harsh reality of the cruel treatment of the black community. It showed me just a tiny glimpse of how bad the situation actually was, while making me want to get up and dance to the music. I can openly admit I have a sexy crush on Elijah Kelley and Zach Effron. They are fantastic! hahaha. I not only love the boys and the music of this movie but the colour as well. All the greens, pinks and oranges. I love it all! It shows where all all the colour and fun of the 70 came from.
  
  Ok mini review over in a second, just want to say this, Wasn't the odd coupling of John Travolta (as a woman!) and Christopher Walken fantastic?!!?? It showed such a soft side to Chris, and dare I say the Sweet feminine side of John. I love the equality that this movie brings and yes I am a sucker for a nice bit of "Chocolate." mmmm mmmmm...... hehe.

• Back in Black

  Ok so I am in my room in New Zealand right now. convincing myself that I don't mind being back in NZ. I am glad for some reasons but there is no way I regret going on the trip.
  
  I have made some great friendships and had experiences I will never forget. I love Chile and I hope to go back, maybe once things are a little more "organised".
  
  I love my Chilean family and friends and I promise I will never forget them. they will always carry a special place with me now.
  
  I'm enjoying my first glass of fresh Christchurch tap water and looking out at the beautiful sky. I am so glad I had such great experiences with everyone Chile and and Kiwi and as I said before Chileans really know how to party!

• My Chilean Experience.

  Ok so as it stands I still have another 5 days to go, however, I can tell you this: My aexperience here has been fantastic! I have really enjoyed soaking up the culture (and the sun) and I have found this life to be so exciting. My life back at home will be boring after this. I haven't actually met anyone who is chilean and 18 yet so they must just skip a few years and turn 20 or something. hahaha. i have been to some beautiful places like, Buenos Aires (Argentina), La Serena (Chile) and Santiago (also Chile.)
  
  There are a few diffrences between NZ and Chile, One being the population, two being the polution and three being the saddest for me, they stray animals all over the streets. there are so many ferrel dogs and cats roaming the place it's crazy! I love Chile but I am finding the language barrier quite difficult to deal with and so I am overjoyed when I am understood. I love the fact that most Chileans are quite ready to try and speak english with me and for the times that doesn't happen, they generally speak slowly and clearly enough for me to understand.
  
  Things I will miss about Chile:
  
  1. The Chilean people. Everyone here has been so helpful, and I mean everyone.
  
  2. The food. The way people eat here has meant that I am never hungry (ok so a little bit at school but that will never change.)
  
  3. The parties. I suppose they are probably like the ones in NZ only 1000000 times better. Less drinking, more dancing.
  
  4. The staying out rediculously late and not having your parents worry and wondering when the heck you will get home. (This is hand in hand with the parties.)
